The San Antonio Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers will meet in the 1st round of the playoffs. This is surprising that they are meeting so early, as these were 2 teams that were projected to be among the top 3 or 4 teams in the West. But with the Lakers’ chemistry and injury problems, they barely made it into the playoffs, but this sets up one of the most entertaining battles of the opening round. Both teams come limping into the playoffs, as Manu Ginobili has been out and may miss the series and it is well known that Kobe Bryant is out for the playoffs after his achilles tear. The Lakers will be going inside early in often, throwing the ball into the low post for Dwight Howard to score and the high post for Pau Gasol to either score, or make a pass. The rest of the team simply needs to hit threes. With the attention paid to Dwight Howard and Pau Gasol and with little respect to any other player other than Steve Nash, their shooters will be open constantly and they need to hit every wide ...
