TEAMS: Memphis Grizzlies, Philadelphia 76ers, Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder
Coming off of a 2011-2012 season that was shortened by a lockout, the Los Angeles Lakers have a much more manageable schedule this season. The regular season consisted of 66 games packed into five months of basketball, with the Lakers playing 18 back-to-back games and one back-to-back-to-back. This upcoming season, the Lakers will have 16 games without a day off, one more than they had during the NBA’s last full-season back in 2010-2011. Notable back-to-backs include November 23/24, where the Lakers face an always tough Memphis Grizzlies at the FedExForum, and play in Dallas against the Mavericks the following night. Also, on February 24/25, the Lakers again play on the road against the Mavs and at the Pepsi Center versus the always dangerous Nuggets.
Back in 2009-2010, when Los Angeles won the NBA Finals for the 16th time in Lakers history, they played 17 of their first 21 games at Staples Center, starting the season 18-3. In 2012-2013, the Lakers will play nine of 11 games at h...

Lakers Rumors: Lakers’ Kobe Bryant Settles Court Case That Happened 7 Years Ago
Sitting court side at an NBA game is great and all until somebody gets injured. Sounds like something you would rarely see, but in 2005 a fan sitting court side for a Lakers vs. Grizzlies game got in the way of Kobe Bryant as he lunged into the stands attempting to save the ball. Bill Geeslin, the [...]

Kobe Bryant Pays Dead Man
In 2005 Kobe ran into a Memphis fan while chasing a ball out of bounds. The man, Bill Geeslin, was an insurance agent and sued Bryant for $75,000.
“I recall a fast-paced incident seeing him come to me, running into me and then forearming me…..He intentionally forearmed me in the chest. He did not apologize. He walked away and pushed…..he kind of pushed his arm toward me and...
Kobe Bryant vs. Michael Jordan Identical Plays (video)
A debate that will seemingly never go away in the basketball world is can Kobe Bryant ever surpass Michael Jordan and be called the greatest player of all time. My stance has remained firm on this issue and the answer is NO. Mainly because in Jordan’s prime he simply did not LOSE in the Finals a perfect 6-0. Something Bryant never did with 2 finals losses and several more early...

Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan Complete Identical Plays
A new series of nearly identical clips by two of the greatest players of all time.
This is amazing. And, while it won’t do anything to quell the Michael Jordan vs. Kobe Bryant debate that’s been going on for years now, it will show MJ and Kobe fans just how similar these two played on the basketball court over the years. We’d also like to point out that the guy who edited...
Former NBA Players Calls Out Dwight Howard
Former NBA player Charles Oakley was the definition of a tough player. He was so tough that Michael Jordan trusted him to protect him from the rough style of basketball from the 1980′s. These days, those types of players are hard to come by. The league has become soft with all their rules to “speed up” the game. Nowadays, players have the power to dictate the team...
Los Angeles Lakers to Honor Actor from Airplane with a Statue
The Los Angeles Lakers have gone fully Hollywood; the Los Angeles Times is reporting that during the upcoming NBA season the team will unveil a statue depicting one of the stars of the hit slapstick comedy Airplane. Charles Oakley thinks Dwight Howard should’ve been treated like a spoiled child having a temper tantrum
Charles Oakley is not impressed with Dwight Howard’s antics – who was – but the legendary former Knicks star thinks the Orlando Magic should’ve dealt with Dwight like you do a toddler who has a temper tantrum, put him in timeout. “A lot of guys cry in this league these days. I try not to [...]
Steve Nash vs. Jason Kidd: Who’s better?
I can vividly remember playing pickup basketball as a kid. I was horrible back then. I had no athletic ability; I couldn’t jump, run or shoot. The best attribute of my game was passing simply because I had no other options. I can remember listening to guys shoot the ball, yelling “Kobe” as the ball goes through the net. I used to wish that I had that ability. I practiced...

Dwight Howard, Pau Gasol, Steve Nash and Kobe Bryant will make the new-look Los Angeles Lakers a heavy favorite to not only win the Western Conference but the NBA crown as well. However, being overlooked are the defending West champs - Oklahoma City Thunder.
The Thunder have remained in tact, re-signed Serge Ibaka, and after a long march in the playoffs last season, they...
