The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a dramatic game 6 to eliminate the number one seeded Chicago Bulls in the first round.  Today, the Sixers open the second round of the NBA playoffs versus their rival Boston Celtics.

The Celtics and 76ers have had several memorable playoff series, 19 to be exact.  This rivalry is considered one of the greatest rivalries in NBA history.  The young Sixers team will face the experienced Boston tonight at 8:00 on 97.5 the Fanatic and can be seen on NBC.  Here is the rest of the Sixers/Celtics Round 2 schedule.

As we said last round, the Sixers need to continue to play their "run and gun" offense.  If the young Sixers can sink their baskets and play their game, they could give the Celtics a run for their money.

Here are the expected starters for Game 1 vs the Celtics:

  • Jrue Holiday
  • Evant Turner
  • Andre Iguodala
  • Elton Brand
  • Spencer Hawes
