Sixers are 2 and 2 on the road trip. If you want to blindly look at that you can, it’s fine. But the two wins were against two of the better teams on the stretch that were both undermanned.
Sucks.
It just makes evaluating this team that much more difficult. Everyone is talking up the defense, and rightly so. But do they hold Denver to less than 100 points per 100 possessions if Melo plays? Does Denver relinquish the lead with their go-to scorer on the floor? I doubt it, but you just don’t know and that is the part that sucks.
This road trip was suppose to be the season’s barometer. Now it’s less clear and muddy.
Tonight they have a game many people probably checked off as a win on this stretch against the Warriors – even in the second game of a back-to-back.
The Sixers going are going for two straight wins and Golden State is going for 3 in a row.
