PLAYERS: Dwight Howard
TEAMS: Houston Rockets
Considering the players they are now, it’s often tough to forget that NBA stars like Dwight Howard and Joakim Noah were once the lanky, raw players that we see rising today. With that being said, this photo is effective in serving as refresher on that fact. It shows Howard and Noah ten years ago at the 2004 EA Sports Roundball Classic, in the early days of their hardwood rivalry. Pretty cool. WATCH: Chander Parsons Messes Mike Dunleavy Up With Viscious Elbow

It was a hard night in Chicago for the Houston Rockets Thursday--and it showed in the final score. The game was pretty hard for the Bulls Mike Dunleavy too, but in more of a literal sense. Houston's Chandler Parsons nailed him in the head with a hard elbow drawing some serious blood in the process. Here's a clip with a few more angles of the hit as well as a bloody Dunleavy...

Dynamic Duo Flying High

The Houston Rockets have a dynamic duo that has become unstoppable. Dwight Howard and James Harden have created greatness in Houston as the Rockets are moving up the ladder. Harden has the shooting skills, and Howard has everything that goes on in the post-game. It’s a similar situation compared with Shaq and Kobe. The two joined together because the teams that they were with held...

Report: Rockets will make a bid for Carmelo Anthony

I hadn’t thought about Melo to the Rockets. They already have a scorer who likes to have the ball in his hands in James Harden, so I am not quite sure how that would work that out, but the Rockets are interested. Here are the details according to New York Post. According to a league source, the Rockets will make a bid for Carmelo Anthony this summer, even though they probably won’t...

Source: Rockets could make a big push for Carmelo

Could Carmelo Anthony rocket off to Houston? According to a league source, the Rockets will make a bid for Carmelo Anthony this summer, even though they probably won’t have cap space and would have to orchestrate a creative sign-and-trade. The source said Houston asked the Knicks about Anthony before February’s trade deadline. The Knicks have held discussions with the Rockets...

WATCH: Taj Gibson posterizes Omer Asik in blowout

The Chicago Bulls welcomed the Houston Rockets to town Thursday night for a game; one that promised to be a hotly contested on between two playoff bound teams. Sadly--that was not the case. For the second game in a row the Rockets played a flat, lifeless game and ended up losing 111-87.It really wasn't even that close. In fact, if you want to a good idea of how the game went...

Mike Dunleavy leaves court bloody after catching nasty elbow to the eye

The Bulls’ Mike Dunleavy, trying to draw a charge call, took an inadvertent elbow to the head from Chandler Parsons during Thursday’s game with the Houston Rockets. The wound somehow only took ten stitches to repair. At least for Dunleavy, he got a charge call out of his bloody injury. Video below: The post Mike Dunleavy leaves court bloody after catching nasty elbow to the...

Houston Rockets-Oklahoma City Thunder: A New NBA Rivalry By Jennifer Fazioli: Lead Writer At Hoopstuff If you failed to catch the game between the Thunder and Rockets you missed a doozy. Patrick Beverly’s Aggression Proves Costly As Thunder Take 4th Straight At The Peake

NBA.com’s Randy Renner is even referring to Chesapeake Energy Arena as “The Peake”, so I might as well drop the apostrophe and quotations when I use it moving forward. I have a feeling that name will take off big in the next season or two. Kevin Durant floats one over Dwight Howard as James Harden looks on. Durant led all scorers with 48 points, while Harden led all Rockets...

Steve Nash Says Dwight Howard Sulked Because He Didn’t Like Kobe

In between Yoga and telling Bill Simmons he isn’t retiring because he wants his money, Steve Nash dropped this nugget about Dwight Howard courtesy of USA Today. I don’t think this is a shocker, you could tell immediately since Dwight isn’t good at hiding his emotions it was doomed to fail from the time Kobe told him to keep the clown act in Orlando.

Steve Nash says Dwight Howard didn’t like playing with Kobe Bryant

Even though it should be an afterthought at this point, we’re still talking about the failed relationship between Dwight Howard and the Los Angeles Lakers. But, in the fans’ defense, so is Steve Nash, who recently told Bill Simmons of ESPN that the reason Howard was so unhappy in Los Angeles, ultimately, was that he didn’t want to be stuck in the situation with Kobe Bryant...
