As the Warriors lose Monta Ellis with a sprain ankle and his iffness against the Clippers, Ellis is hoping that many of the coaches over look the fact that the Warriors do not have a winning record and give him the opportunity to be at the All-Star game. Just like Blake Griffin, whose team is rose than the Warriors, Ellis is a star that deserves the world to see as his numbers and his game speak for themselves. If they make Griffin an all-star and leave out Monta, someone needs to fire all the coaches and get new ones because they aren’t seeing talent, just being the self centered people they are. The game hasn’t seen a player like Ellis in years, ever since someone of his game, like Allen Iverson, whose game is built on the fact that he can get to the bucket, take the hits and still finished and yet be smaller than most two guards. And to add to his game, Ellis’ jumpshot has improved every year, now shooting, about 47% from the field and about 38% beyond the arc. One on one, no one can stop Ellis. And he deserves to not only go the game but get recognize as an All-Star. Even last year, I thought Ellis deserved to go because it was his game that helped keep the Warriors in the game. What more can you ask from a man, who was carrying the scoring load and defending against the best two guards in the league? He is already at about 41 minutes per game and he will only continue to maintain that number. Ellis is an All-Star, deservingly so and most importantly, the Warrior’s franchise player.

With that said, I’ve linked an article on a rumor that new Warrior owner, Joe Lacob is willingly to part with his most dynamic backcourt if he could get a superstar. Is Monta not already the superstar?

Please feel free to comment on how you feel about this rumor, if Lacob moves either Ellis or Steph Curry.
