Clearly, Russell Westbrook likes to be on the cutting edge of fashion both on and off the court.  Just yesterday he arrived at LA’s Staples Center wearing what appears to be a leather t-shirt, then took the floor in a pair of Thunder-themed Air Jordan III player exclusives that sent Twitter into a frenzy (personally, I think it’s an ugly colorway).  In another recent on-court fashion development, Russell became the first player to sport the heinous Jordan XX8s.  His most memorable off-court outfits have included polo shirts with fishing lures as well as red skinny pants, and his hipster specs have become an unfortunate sensation.  Aside from maybe Tyson Chandler, who literally wears capes, Westbrook really has no NBA peers when it comes to dressing ridiculously.  Considering the things that some of these players wear, that’s saying something. Being that Westbrook is so dedicated to being a trendsetter, I thought maybe I could tip him off on a few innovative fashions that are yet to take the world by storm.  Yesterday, I happened upon this review of an event called The London Men’s Collection, which, according to the article, is “a week-long preview of cutting edge collections for the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 season.” You hear that, Russ?  A preview of cutting edge collections for the Fall/Winter 2013/14 season!  Adopt some of these looks immediately and you could really be ahead of the curve! All of the following photos are from the article linked above.  If you dare, you can click the thumbnails to make the weirdness grow larger. Never seen anything quite like this, have you Russell?  Personally, I’m a big fan of the one with the exaggerated knit hood and oven mitts.  It makes you look like Queen Amidala from Star Wars and would be nice and toasty during a road trip to Minnesota.  Also, with the NBA’s possible return to Seattle, the old man’s umbrella could become an accessory that’s as functional as it is fashionable.  As for the shoulderless one-piece with the rain boots, that might be something more ideal to be broken out in a place like LA or Miami, where the weather is good, the national media is present, and it’s of the utmost importance to make dramatic fashion statements.  Oh, and if you really want to push the limits, just wear that “please kill me” shirt to a press conference.  That’d be sure to draw attention, both from the public and Commissioner Stern. What? Make it happen, Russy.  Become legendary.

Kendrick Perkins makes Shaqtin’ a Fool, calls himself a bonehead for awful pass

Oklahoma City Thunder center Kendrick Perkins’ awful fastbreak pass attempt last Friday was so bad it landed him a spot on TNT’s “Shaqtin’ a Fool” Thursday, but luckily the big man has a good sense of humor about it. That shaqin a fool was so funny, I look like a bone head Lmao — Kendrick Perkins (@KendrickPerkins) January 11, 2013 Good thing he can laugh about it,...

Thunder F Serge Ibaka out vs. Trail Blazers

Oklahoma City forward Serge Ibaka will miss the Thunder's game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday night because of a chest contusion. Thunder coach Scott Brooks says Ibaka will be replaced in the starting lineup by Nick Collison. Ibaka had not missed any games previously this season, and was averaging 14.3 points and 8.4 rebounds. The 6-foot-10 Ibaka was injured...

Kendrick Perkins Behind The Back Pass To Kobe

First off, let's just get one thing established here.  That was a fantastic behind the back pass.  Crisp, clean and on point.  Couldn't have asked for a better pass than what Perkins just pulled off.  How he hasn't made an All Star game yet is beyond me.  Keep doing you, Perk.

Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler leave early as Thunder blow out Lakers (Video)

The Los Angelers Lakers got blown out at home by the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Staples Center Friday night, and even Lakers superfan (and legendary actor) Jack Nicholson couldn't stand it. Nicholson, along with actor/comedian Adam Sandler, used a fourth quarter timeout as an opportunity to head home early as the Lakers were down 103-81 with 7:31 remaining. It was a smart...

Durant guides short-handed Thunder past Blazers

PORTLAND, Ore. -- There was no Serge Ibaka, no Thabo Sefolosha in the Oklahoma City Thunder's lineup Sunday night at the Rose Garden. There was way too much Kevin Durant, however, for the Portland Trail Blazers. Thunder-Trail Blazers Preview

Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder have taken their high-scoring act on the road, where they'll mostly spend the rest of January. The Portland Trail Blazers, though, have been pretty stingy at home recently. Oklahoma City looks to end Portland's nine-game home winning streak by earning a fifth straight victory in the series Sunday night. The Thunder (28-8) rank...

Seattle closer to getting a NBA team?

It was sad story when the Seattle Supersonics left Seattle and went to Oklahoma City. The Supersonics left behind 40 years of history. They also left behind a successful franchise and a bunch of passionate fans. Just think right now the Seattle Supersonics would be one of the best teams in the NBA as the Oklahoma City Thunder are now. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook would be dominating...
