(Disclaimer: We’re big fans of Jalen Rose because he: drinks, goes to college parties and seems like a fun person. Save the hate mail. We’re telling a story, not trying to get the guy in trouble for not doing anything illegal.) We’re told by a well-placed source that Jalen Rose was up to more this weekend than just partying with IU students until 5 a.m. Sunday morning. Busted Coverage is told that the drinking fun actually started Friday night at a Texas Roadhouse where Rose was pictured with locals. We’re told that Rose, possibly still celebrating his 40th birthday (Jan. 30), bought multiple shots for ESPN GameDay roadies. The party supposedly moved to downtown Bloomington – via cab – where things didn’t end until 3 a.m. We checked – the Bloomington Texas Roadhouse closes at 11 on Fridays. Rose, ever the pro, didn’t seem to show effects on the GameDay set. He did the show, then watched IU beat Michigan and then went back to the bars, which led to some house party. Were you at the Texas Roadhouse doing shots with Jalen? Tell us how much fun you had. mail@bustedcoverage.com Now let’s go back to January 30 when Rose did the ESPN ‘NBA Countdown’ show in New Orleans. TV viewers noticed something going down with our hero. As for that GameDay coat Jalen was wearing around Bloomington, he allegedly left it at the house where he was partying. It’s a souvenir from a night when Jalen Rose just happens to stop over to do shots. @jrenneker writes on his now locked Twitter account: “Thanks for chillin with the boys last night @JalenRose hope you had a good time in Bloomington. Thanks for the jacket.” Filed under: Basketball
