Beyond The Buzzer:
Dwight Howard made it clear that he wanted a trade to one of three teams during last season’s Dwightmare saga – the Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers, or Dallas Mavericks. While the Houston Rockets were interested, Howard didn’t have the same interest and was not likely to re-sign with them. But things are different now. The new-look Rockets have just four players remaining from last season’s roster, and have done a good job building a young team that can compete for years to come. Lakers Trying To Toughen Up Dwight Howard
Dwight Howard Wants The Negativity To Stop
Dwight Howard wants to avoid anything resembling a repeat of his departure from the Magic last year.
The Lakers are an entertaining bunch.
Dwight Howard vs. Kobe Bryant is the closest we will get to Pacquiao vs. Mayweather. Kobe essentially said Dwight is a sensitive clown who needs to play hurt.
Here was Dwight reply to that courtesy of Pro Basketball Talk.
“That’s his opinion. That’s it. He’s not a doctor, I’m not a doctor.”’
“”I want to play, I mean, why wouldn’t...
One of the things that made Michael Jordan so great is he had a burning desire to be great. It was almost like an obsession. His competitive nature was legendary and something that not many could live up to.
Kobe Bryant shares this type of obsession, he wants Dwight Howard to have it as well, but Dwight isn’t wired that way. He’s wired in a more clownish way.
With that being...
This season has been a year of tribulation for the Lakers (22-26) and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon. Dwight Howard and Metta World Peace will miss tonight's season series finale against the Brooklyn Nets (28-19), the team's 4th stop in this seemingly never-ending road trip.
Howard is still feeling a lot of soreness on his right shoulder after...

My apologies to anyone who got wasted in preparation for Drexel/Old Dominion. However, I hope...
