San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills knows his role with the team quite well.
After leading Team Australia at the 2012 Olympics (and leading all Olympic players in scoring at 21.2 points per game), Mills knew he may not be pouring in those kinds of numbers for the Spurs, but understood he would have a role coming off the bench.
In a nutshell, try to do what he did for Team...

“It’s maddening,” Popovich said of the incident in which Jackson lost his balance after running into a waitress during...
For most of the year, San Antonio Spurs fans can say they've seen many sightings of the old Tim Duncan. Last night, it was Manu Ginobili showing flashes for one game at least.. GInobili had an awesome between the legs pass in the 3rd quarter, but before that in the 1st quarter of the game he set the tone for the Spurs with an exciting dunk that we haven't seen from him in years.
Remember Marcus Williams? Anyone? Anyone? He was the other guy drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2007 NBA Draft. The 6'7" versatile forward could handle the ball, rebound well for his size and play some solid defense. The only problem is he didn't excel at any of those things and didn't get a ton of run in San Antonio (he spent most of his time in...

SAN ANTONIO -- The Spurs looked like a team that just got a break. The Sixers looked like a team that needed one. At the end of a grueling eight-game road trip, including four games in the last five nights, the road-weary Sixers lost to the Spurs 109-86 on Saturday night at the AT&T Center. The Spurs had a similarly difficult period, playing the same four-in-five nights kind...

San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan is supposed to be at th end of his career with his statistics dwindling down along with his skills on the court. He's supposed to be slower and inefficient.
That's what he's supposed to be, but what we're actually getting is the opposite.
Duncan is averaging 18ppg and 9rpg this season and he showed that type of performance...

During the third quarter...
The San Antonio Spurs appeared to solve their recent road struggles with back-to-back wins away from home, but a lopsided loss to finish their most recent trip could be cause for concern.
San Antonio, though, should be primed to bounce back Monday night when it visits the New Orleans Hornets, who have lost seven straight home games.
While they've won 10 straight at home, the...
The San Antonio Spurs had been rolling before coming up short their last time out due in part to a lack of energy.
The Philadelphia 76ers could be faced with a similar issue Saturday night as they conclude a season-high eight-game road trip.
Seeking a 10th straight home win, the Spurs try to get back on track against a 76ers team surely dreading another visit to San Antonio.
