San Antonio Spurs stars Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili star in a funny commercial promoting the prime steak selection of Texas grocery chain H.E.B. In the commercial, Parker acts as the bouncer treating his backyard cookout as an exclusive club as he checks to see if Duncan and Ginobili are on the guest list. Also featured is the team's Coyote mascot cooking at the grill, along with coach Gregg Popovich (or a lookalike stand-in for "Pop", as we don't hear him speak and don't get a good look at his face). It's a funny commercial that's worth a look. Video via. H/T SCP. Spurs stars shine in local supermarket ad

Comedy isn't exactly the first thing that comes to mind when thinking about the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs, led by head coach Gregg Popovich, seem to be about as serious on the basketball floor as a team can possibly be. However, that didn't stop them from having a little fun off of it as Tony Parker, Manu Ginobli, and Tim Duncan recently starred in this commercial for...

Ginobili leads Spurs to highest score of season in win

SAN ANTONIO -- Let the NBA be warned: Manu has his swag back, even if he's not sure what that means. The Spurs' blistering showtime offense that was on display most of last season was back, with Manu Ginobili leading the way as the Spurs beat the slumping Nuggets 126-100 at the AT&T Center on Saturday night. The Nuggets hung on for a while, trailing only 16-13 with...

Parker undresses Felton with sick crossover

The New York Knicks remain undefeated after beating the San Antonio Spurs last night on the road. However, Raymond Felton was left looking lost after Tony Parker humiliated him with this sick crossover. I remember when the Spurs started winning titles, he was this young guy and he was always on the trade block. Now [...]

Video: Dwyane Wade says his Euro step is just as good as Ginobili's

When San Antonio Spurs' Manu Ginobili came on the NBA scene, not only did he bring flare to the NBA, he also brought the Euro step. Manu pretty much perfected the move which consists of a leaning step one way and a quick cut the opposite way. It can be a devastating move on any defender which leave them standing flat footed as a player goes in for an easy bucket towards the...

SAN ANTONIO (AP) -- Manu Ginobili had 20 points and the San Antonio Spurs set a season high for points in a 126-100 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Saturday night. Danilo Gallinari scored 15 and Kenneth Faried...

Spurs Coyote mascot misses out on group hug with Tony Parker and Jason Kidd (Video)

San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker and New York Knicks guard Jason Kidd found themselves in a hug as they kept each other from falling into the stands during the fourth quarter of Thursday night's NBA game at the AT&T Center. Raymond Felton: Tony Parker is one of the best

When it comes to naming the best point guards in this era of the NBA, the usuals are Rajon Rondo, Deron Williams, Derrick Rose, Jason Kidd, and Chris Paul. Yet time and time again, San Antonio Spurs' Tony Parker tends to be mentioned a notch below despite owning three NBA championship rings, and an NBA Finals MVP trophy. However, last season Parker had a career year, receiving...

Tony Parker blames bad wine on Pop's 'happy' interview

You remember TNT's David Aldridge's interview with San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich during the Spurs' home opener versus the Thunder? Well how can you forget when Aldridge asked Pop if he was "happy" with the team's shot selection and Pop said he can't judge "happy" and made for an awkward interview. Speaking on The Jim Rome...

Spurs 126, Nuggets 100

SAN ANTONIO -- The Spurs' blistering showtime offense that was on display most of last season was back with Manu Ginobili leading the way as San Antonio beat the slumping Denver Nuggets 126-100 at the AT&T Center on Saturday night. The Nuggets hung on for a while, trailing only 16-13 with just over four minutes left in the first quarter before the Spurs were able to break...

Spurs don't need to change a thing

The Spurs aren't immune to making coaching changes early in seasons, not that anyone really remembers or notices. It's just the thought of San Antonio canning a coach now seems as foreign as the Spurs' internationally-laden roster. The NBA's ultimate model of consistency and stability doesn't do rash. The Spurs stay the course, cranking out essentially the same...
