San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker was sidelined Sunday night due to a right triceps contusion. It’s not expected to keep him sidelined long, as it’s now being reported he’ll return Wednesday, but it came out yesterday that he attempted to conceal the injury from head coach Gregg Popovich, according to Mike Monroe of Spurs Nation.Popovich told reporters that Parker was a little too much in “hero mode” as he attempted to hide his injury in order to continue playing. Parker wasn’t forthcoming about the amount of discomfort he was experiencing, and the injury wasn’t revealed until Popovich noticed the guard wasn’t shooting from the outside during last Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.Parker later admitted that he was withholding the injury information from his coach.“I told Pop, ‘You know me. I’ve been here 10 years, and I don’t complain about injuries. There’s a lot of stuff I don’t tell you.’ He said, ‘With something like this, you’ve got to tell me.’?”The injury isn’t a big deal, and while it’s not a smart thing to do, it does show Parker’s toughness.Follow @hoopsinjurynews!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://www.nbainjurynews.com//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs"); var _gaq = _gaq || []; _gaq.push(['_setAccount', 'UA-34100676-1']); _gaq.push(['_trackPageview']); (function() { var ga = document.createElement('script'); ga.type = 'text/javascript'; ga.async = true; ga.src = ('https:' == document.location.protocol ? Even short-handed, Spurs too much for Suns

PHOENIX (AP) -- Tony Parker took the night off with a sore right triceps. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili were far from their best.
