If there was any other major storyline of the 2013 NBA playoffs besides LeBron, it had to be the emergence of some of the young stars that will be around the NBA for a long time. While Paul George of the Indiana Pacers gave the Heat everything they could handle in the 7 game ECF, Warriors point guard Stephen Curry solidified his position among the best point guards in the league with his performance. Averaging 23.4 ppg and 8.1 ast, Curry showed why he is the purest shooter in the league today. So naturally after that great performance in the playoffs, many have tried to rank Curry in the crowded group of elite point guards. But if you ask Curry himself, where he ranks really doesn’t matter. Per RealGM: “Somewhere in there,” Curry said. “It doesn’t matter. What’s the separation? From 1 to 10, is it that much of a drop off where you’re like, ‘Ahhh, I wish I was higher?’ It doesn’t make a difference. “If you’re in that group, on any given night you are going to play like you’re the best. It’s just who can be more consistent.” “I think the only consistent thing is Chris Paul is in the top two no matter what you say the criteria is, pretty much,” Curry said. With the return of Derrick Rose this season it’ll be interesting to see just how the upper echelon of floor generals shakes out this season. I will say I definitely agree with Curry, Chris Paul is at the top of any list right now concerning point guards.

Report: Seth Curry to Join Stephen Curry, Golden State Warriors for Training Camp

The Golden State Warriors have a history of giving feel-good stories a shot — but only so much of a shot, unfortunately for Seth Curry. Curry, the younger brother of Warriors guard and NBA All-Star Stephen Curry, is expected to be invited to join the Dubs for camp this fall, according to Warriors World. Shooting runs in the Curry family, as Seth Curry, like Stephen and their father...

Although a future gimp, Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is presently ‘in top physical shape’

Electric Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry says he’ll be “in top physical shape for training camp.” “I can’t overstate how good it feels to not have to do rehab,” said Curry, 25, who has already undergone two surgeries on his feeble right ankle. “I can take my workout to new levels because I set that foundation early, instead of playing catch-up in the month...

Stephen Curry Looks to Improve Defensively

Stephen Curry broke Ray Allen’s record for most three-pointers made in a single season last season. Most consider him the best shooter in the game. Curry is so great offensively that most feel his defense has to be a liability. His defensive impact isn’t nearly as great it is on the other end, but he’s far from a liability. Warriors head coach Mark Jackson went as far to call...

Paul George rocked cornrows back in the day

Paul George, an Indiana Pacers swingman known for not only his on-court versatility but also his shorthaired and clean-cut appearance, has recently been exposed. That’s right; King George himself used to rock cornrows, he seemed to have an affinity for mean-mugging in photos, his childhood teammate looked like a miniature Andrew Bynum, and we now appear to have photographic evidence...

Photo: Pacers' Hibbert makes Tim Duncan look tiny

Roy Hibbert of the Indiana Pacers was in town to work out with Tim Duncan of the San Antonio Spurs this week. This marks the second offseason in a row that Hibbert has sought out the expertise of the all-time great. Hibbert recently posted a photo of himself with Duncan, Tiago Splitter, Ian Mahinmi, and Jesse James Leija. The photo was taken after a boxing workout and Hibbert’s...

Hibbert probably will never play for the U.S. national team

A couple of weeks ago I spoke with USA Basketball chairman Jerry Colangelo for recent stories on Paul George and George Hill. We also talked briefly about Roy Hibbert. The Pacers center would have been a likely invite to the USA Basketball minicamp in July that after his sterling playoff performance but he played for the Jamaican national team in one game in a FIBA-sponsored event...
