Tamara Green, Willie Green's Sister, Killed After Watching His Game

A number of Green's family came to watch the Detroit native return home. According to Willie Green Sr., Tamara, 30, and Ben, 27, left shortly after the game was over and went to a restaurant near the arena. They got into an accident at 12:40 a.m. that had no witnesses, according to police. "They went off the roadway at a high rate of speed, went airborne and hit the tree with the roof of the car," Troy Police Lt. Robert Redmond said. "It wasn't the road conditions; the road was fine. It was the speed. Where there's the least amount of protection is the roof of the car." Police found Tamara trapped inside the car and Ben, who was not wearing a seatbelt, 100 feet away from the car.
