The Denver Nuggets' first-round pick, Evan Fournier, says he wants to play for the team in the upcoming season.
Fournier, a 6-foot-6, 190-pound guard from France, was the 20th overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft. The Nuggets drafted him with the idea of having the 19-year-old play one or two more years in Europe, but Fournier said he wants to stay here.
The Denver Nuggets selected French guard Evan Fournier with the 20th pick in the NBA draft on Thursday night.
The 19-year-old Fournier averaged 14.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists playing for Poiters in France Pro A last season. He was also a member of the French national team at the junior and youth levels.

With the 20th overall pick the Denver Nuggets take Evan Fournier from France. Fournier is still only 19 years old. He can play both the shooting guard and small forward positon. He excels at attacking the rim and he is full of potenial.
THe Nuggets don’t really have any holes on their team right now. This pick should allow Fournier time to develop.
The Nuggets have been fielding several trade calls on some of their depth of young players.
