Found December 01, 2012 on Celtics Green ...a boston celtics blog.:
Tommy started off in rare fashion with a rant on Rondo's suspension. Tommy is from an era when you stood up for each other and what Rondo did was a nightly occurrence. The whole league has gotten soft. On Rondo's 2 game suspension "Absolutely overkill. For crying out loud he stood up for his teammate.""I'm yelling!I'm really yelling! — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 It was nice to see Courtney Lee have a good game. His hustle got him a couple of Tommy Points. Great hustle by Courtney Lee getting back on defense! #TommyPoint — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 Courtney Lee gets another #TommyPoint hustling back."The guy was ten feet ahead of him when he caught up." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 Needless to say, Tommy's not a big fan of the referees. But, he used to be worse when he was a coach. Collins called for the foul... "Mhmmmm... Mhmmmm... ugh..." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 Tommy's is a fan of the new math and he uses it when talking about Leonard's future. On Leonard's future. "Imagine what this kid is going to be like in six years when he is 28." He is 20 now... " Now 20 plus 6 equals 28." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 We should just call #12 Sir Leandro from now on. Barbosa battling for the ball "That reminds me of the knights when they are jousting." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 More from Tommy on the officiating. He did agree with David Stern fining the Spurs for sitting out their players, though. Telling Mike to call Stern about free throw discrepancies "I want you to talk to David. You are friends with David from your time in NY." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 When he was talking about the emotional part of the game he went old school. Tommy: Unvarnished -Emotion is a big part of the game."Cousy used to lock himself in his room... Russell used to throw up before games." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 Tommy, along with the rest of the Celtics fans, liked what he saw from Sully. Sullinger with the put-back "He's got magical hands." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 Tommy was talking about how young the Blazers roster is. On the Blazers' young roster "They may have to burp a few of them for a while." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 And Tommy liked what he saw from the Celtics tonight. "The Celtic pride spirit that Doc was talking about was here tonight." — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 And the Tommy Award went to Jeff Green. It sure would be nice to see him do this on a regular basis instead of one ever 10 games or so. "What he did was score, what he did was run, what he did was block shots. He did a little of everything."Jeff Green wins the #TommyAward — Tommy Heinsohn (@CSNTommy) December 1, 2012 [Discuss on CG Forums!]
