via Celticslife The offseason was reminiscent of a storm brewing off a shoreline, that shoreline being the Boston harbor. Danny Ainge was able to collect pieces that will have the Boston Celtics in a better position than last year. This is remarkable considering last year’s team lost to the Miami Heat in seven games in the Eastern Conference Finals. Without diving into all the other noise around the league from Nash to Brooklyn to Dwight, the Celtics took a back seat in terms of media coverage with their moves, which is okay by them. Actually, we heard more about what the Celtics lost (Ray Allen) instead of what they gained (more on this later). A lot of Celtic fans and the media were hung up on the term, Big Three. Without Ray Allen, the fans started to get worrisome that the run was over. Break ups are never easy and often times, emotions get the best of us. Let’s remove emotions and look what the change means. Ray Allen was hurting the Celtics the past couple of ye...

Celtics rookie Fab Melo breaks folding chair...by sitting on it (Video)

Boston Celtics rookie center Fab Melo was sitting down on a folding chair with some other NBA rookies during a recent photo shoot when it suddenly collapsed without warning. It appeared that the legs just gave way and couldn't support Melo's 7-foot, 255 pound frame, and cameras were perfectly positioned to capture the moment as it happened. Melo was OK, aside from...

The Power Behind the Tattoo

Much has been made of Jason Terry's new tattoo. He's been showing it off all over Boston and pretty much guaranteeing a championship. Some people think it's just showmanship. Others think that it's foolish for him to get that tattoo and they don't like his guarantees. Recall that Jason Terry also got a tattoo of the Larry O'Brien trophy in the off-season...

Your Morning Dump… Where the Celtics have the best looking uniforms in the NBA

Every morning, we compile the links of the day and dump them here… highlighting the big storyline. Because there’s nothing quite as satisfying as a good morning dump.  The Rolling Stones, “Goodfellas,” a Hershey’s with almonds — the classics are classic for a reason. That definitely applies to the Celtics’ set. No goofy side panels, no extraneous bells or whistles...

The Celtics made the announcement this week by extending him for four years at $36 million. The Celtics first acquired Green from the Oklahoma City Thunder in return for Kendrick...

A comparison between the 2007-08 championship roster against our upcoming season roster (Guest Post)

Guest post by Ronit Ale First is Ray Allen vs Courtney Lee. For me on this subject, I will have to pick Courtney Lee over Ray Allen. Not because Ray was bad or anything(in fact I am a fan of Ray whether he's a Heat or Celtic for that matter), its just that Courtney has youth even at that time where Ray was just hitting game winners and 3's. Although Lee is a lot better...

(Note: The above video has nothing to do with the Celtics or this post. But I posted it for two reasons. 1) It’s my music video debut. If you watch at 1:41, I’m the bloody dude dying. Not exactly the most glamorous debut, I know. And 2) If you like rap and don’t know Aziz, you probably should get to know him. He’s from the Boston area and he’s one of the best rappers...
