Dirk and the Dallas Mavericks are at it again... Building off of the Mavs' big head rendition of "Gangnam Style" and further feeding into recent internet pandemonium surrounding an erratic dance sequence (and song) known as the "Harlem Shake", I present to you the following:With this, a couple of questions are inevitably raised..As far as wildly popular/redundantly ridiculous dance moves go, is "Harlem Shake" going to take the place of "Gangnam Style"? And, more importantly, can Brandan Wright please grow his hair out into an epic afro for the season's remainder?_________________________________________________________________________________Set to a tune produced by Baauer, below is the original viral dance video that led to this ongoing fad.

Dallas Mavericks players do the Harlem Shake

Tweet If one thing is for certain, it’s that Mark Cuban is not the typical NBA owner. Given that, it’s no surprise that he doesn’t run the typical NBA team. Case in point is this video that the Dallas Mavericks uploaded to their official YouTube page: The description of the video reads, “Don’t ask why. [...]

Dallas Mavericks do the Harlem Shake

I don’t even know how something like this gets popular, but you knew eventually that once this took off like the Call Me Maybe and Gangnam Style parody’s, that pro sports teams would get involved.  The Dallas Mavericks appear to be the pioneers for this, and more videos from other teams are sure to come. Here’s the original video that kicked off this latest fad.[YouTube]

Dallas Mavericks Get After The Harlem Shake

I have to admit, the Harlem Shake is one of my favorite Internet meme’s to come around in quite sometime. With that said I am very aware that the shelf life is about one week for a good meme and we are definitely on day 6. The Dallas Mavericks got down with the shake, and you have to love it hate it. Dirk Nowitzki and the Dallas Mavericks do the Harlem Shake (video)

The "Harlem Shake" was bound to infect the NBA, and the Dallas Mavericks are down for getting weird. What I love about this video is Shawn Marion. He's the only Mav who's like, I don't need a costume. I'm the Matrix. Bring it, freaks.

The Dallas Mavericks do the “Harlem Shake” (VIDEO)

So the “Harlem Shake” is the new groovy dance move that all the kids are doing these days.  So why wouldn’t 34-year old Dirk Nowitzki and 36-year old Vince Carter get their swerve on?

Dallas Mavericks hit their “Harlem Shake”

Ready for the next new dance craze? I know you’re sooo burnt out on Gangnam Style, welp, five bored teenagers in Australia developed a new dance on a bored afternoon that they were trapped in the house and have dubbed it the “Harlem Shake.” Not to be confused with the circa 2001 dance that was featured prominately in this Bad Boy video, nope, this is different. Think of the...

Everyone Else Is Doing The Harlem Shake So Why Wouldn’t The Dallas Mavericks?

I’m not much of a dancer, not since that time that a preacher banned dancing in my town and my family moved away right before a rebellious teenager arrived and showed everyone that dancing is actually fun. But the word on the streets these days is that all the cool hepcats and daddy-O’s are getting funky to a new little move called the Harlem Shake.Unfortunately, a Harlem Shake...

Dallas Mavericks go "Gangnam Style" in big head tribute video (Video)

Although Psy's hit song "Gangnam Style" has fallen off in recent months, that doesn't mean that any NBA-related parody isn't going to tickle your funny bone.Check out this Dallas Mavericks version which provides a big-headed tribute for the ages:(Courtesy of Bob's Blitz)

Trade Rumors Heating Up For Mavericks, Hawks

The Dallas Mavericks and the Atlanta Hawks are both going in interesting directions at the moment. Both are going to have the salary cap room to go after the off-season's biggest free agent, Dwight Howard, but both have to make sure that they don't make the wrong move here at the trade deadline. Stars on both teams are clearly on the trading block right now, and with the...

Dallas Mavericks intrigued by Brandon Jennings in Big D

The Dallas Mavericks have "a level of interest" in Milwaukee Bucks guard Brandon Jennings, according to ESPN Dallas. That's a jargon-y way of saying the Mavs would make a deal for the rising star if the Bucks were willing to part ways. What would a potential deal look like? No mention of who the Mavs would be willing to part with -- uh, anyone but Dirk -- but the...

Dallas Mavericks showing interest in Brandon Jennings

Brandon Jennings, seeker of max contract, has shown flashes of brilliance in his young career. He set the league on fire scoring a Bucks rookie record 55 points in a game against Golden State. He can be a top point guard in the league when he plays within himself but too often he becomes Jennings the chucker instead of Jennings the creator. Despite his flaws, the Mavericks are reportedly...

Here's Dirk Nowitzki & the Dallas Mavericks doing the 'Harlem Shake'

The Dallas Mavericks' social media team is probably the best in the NBA. My favorite video from them is still Dirk Nowitzi'sdramatic reading of Britney Spears' "Oops, I did it again".
