PLAYERS: Greg Monroe
TEAMS: Detroit Pistons
AUBURN HILLS- Joe Dumars claimed to have selected the consensus top coach available this off-season when he and Tom Gores came to agreement to hire new head coach; Maurice Cheeks. “I think you try to hire the best person for your particular team or particular situation. It doesn’t become a popularity contest. It becomes who can best connect with your team and your players.” Since Maurice Cheeks emerged as the front runner for the coaching position, there has been mixed feelings buzzing in Motown. Considering Cheeks’ pedestrian 284-286 record, was he the right guy?  We won’t know that until the conclusion of the upcoming season but as for now, all we can do is wait and watch. Now that the coaching search is over, the front office can turn their attention to the next important off-season task; the NBA draft. • I would trade up to get Victor Oladipo. I'm willing to trade anybody except Moose, Dre, BK. This kid is somethin special and underrated by scouts if you ask me. (underrated in the top 5? yes)

If you're not willing, we have to go with Carter-Williams at 8. He's a bigger guard, making up for BK being a smaller 2. MCW makes plays, jams out, pass first, slick, and a developing jumper. I will be very disappointed if we pass up this guy's talent.

Lastly, let's just not waste our money this offseason. To be honest, don't sign a single free agent except Will Bynum. This guy brings us energy and puts together nice scoring spurts. 2014 has better free agents for us to spend, and besides, Andrew Wiggins is in the 2014 draft. To be honest, I'd tank all of next year in order to get Wiggins. It doesn't have to be on purpose, but if we play all of our young guys only, well then they're more likely to lose and also get experience at the same time.

    MCW + Wiggins + 2014 FA SG/SF + Dre + Moose

Pistons To Consider Stashing Draft Pick Overseas

The Detroit Pistons are taking a hard look at international players in the NBA draft, particularly with their two second round picks. The Pistons are considering stashing at least one of their draft picks overseas for next season. Alex Len figures to be the first foreign player taken in the draft.

Knicks Basketball: Will Bynum a Player of Interest

Will Bynum, the pint size PG from the Detroit Pistons is has drawn some interest from the New York Knicks. With his small stature but competitive heart, Will has made a lasting impression on opponents. He is in the same mold as Nate Robinson, without the smooth shooting stroke, but he has the strength and tempo to be a very serviceable back up point for many teams, especially the...
