It was all but a done deal the Sacramento Kings were headed to Seattle, but this does not appear to be the case now. On Monday the NBA ownership committee unanimously voted against the relocating the Kings to Seattle. A group of 7 to 12 owners made up the committee that looked into the relocation move. A final vote of all the owners in the league on May 13th, and it is expected that the majority will vote what the NBA ownership committee recommend. No one can be happier than Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson. Here is what Johnson said on Twitter: That’s what I’m talking about SACRAMENTO!!!!! WE DID IT!!!!! I’ve never been prouder of this city. I thank the ownership group, city leaders, but most of all the BEST FANS IN THE NBA!!! The biggest loser in all this news is the city of Seattle.
