There is a lot wrong with the Sacramento Kings. Their best two players, Tyreke Evans and DeMarcus Cousins, have huge question marks going into this year. The team drafted Jimmer Fredette in the first round two drafts ago, and he hasn’t panned out at all yet.
And not surprisingly, they’re not very good.
Well, first round pick Thomas Robinson is looking to change that. He’s an exciting player with a lot of upside to him, and someone the Kings will look to produce immediately.
If he keeps blocking shots like this, the team will be happy with Thomas Robinson:
Now, we know it’s only the preseason. But a two-handed blocked shot is impressive no matter what. Especially when you’re trailing the play like Robinson was.

The Sacramento Kings exercised the 2013-14 contract options of center DeMarcus Cousins and guard Jimmer Fredette.
Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie announced the move Wednesday, saying the team is looking forward to watching the two players grow.

Under the rules of the new CBA, rookie scale contract extensions are going to become a lot more rare. They are going to be reserved for only the players most valued by their teams because it has now become such a big financial commitment.
The players drafted in 2009 have until October 31 to sign extensions with their teams or else they will become restricted free agents next summer...
