AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Klay Thompson had a good feeling about his shooting touch Wednesday. He didn't display it until the second half but once he got hot, so did the Golden State Warriors offense. Thompson scored a season-high 27 points, including five 3-pointers in the third quarter, as the Warriors opened a seven-game road trip with a 104-97 victory over the Detroit Pistons at The Palace on Wednesday night. "He shot the lights before the game and felt great," Warriors coach Mark Jackson said of the second-year shooting guard. "I'm sure at halftime he's probably thinking it was a lie but he kept it going. When he's clicking on all cylinders and Steph (Curry) is playing like that, we're an awfully tough team." Thompson's second-half flurry sparked a 39-point third quarter, Golden State's highest-scoring quarter this season.
