Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and D-Wade show their “love for the game” in new Nike ad for the Jordan brand.
As more NBA games get cancelled due to the lockout, Jordan brand endorsers DWYANE WADE, CHRIS PAUL and CARMELO ANTHONY show their love for the game by taking it to the streets (and local leagues) of their respective cities in this spanking new Air Jordan commercial…
The Three NBA Amigos even took it to China to get their game on…obviously shot during their summer tour there this past July…
Sweet commercial. The love for basketball obviously stretches far and wide, as evidenced in Miami’s Flamingo Rec Center League…the Bayou Women’s League in Nawlins and New York’s Jewish Under 40 League. Not to mention on the streets of Hong Kong (oh, wait. I did mention it!)
If only NBA players and owners could show their collective love for the game and end this disruptive labor impasse before the entire season is lost…and before we all have to join a league somewhere to get in some b-ball...

Wade County? It is in new Jordan Brand spot (Video)
It’s not quite how Dwyane Wade spent the offseason, considering his offseason is ongoing.
But Wade’s latest Jordan Brand spot takes him to all the Miami-Dade hoops hot spots (except, of course, AmericanAirlines Arena).
It also features Chris Paul with similar visits in New Orleans and Carmelo Anthony owning the courts in New York.
The “Love the Game” spot debuted during Monday...
Dwyane Wade’s Magnum Opus
By the time he said Jokers are wild if you wanna be tame/I treat you like a child then you’re gonna be named I already knew my ears were thanking me. Lyrics flowed like Niagara, perfectly and precisely. The perfect voice. The perfect MC. Words were his butter, and the track was his toast. Extra [...]
John Wall will play in Carmelo Anthony NYC-area exhibition game
John Wall says he plans to play in Carmelo Anthony’s exhibition game in New York, if and when it’s scheduled.
“Yeah, I’ve got to,” Wall said last week. “Carmelo’s like a big brother or a big homey to me. I listen, take a lot of advice from him. So I wouldn’t mind playing in his game.”

Jordan: Love of the Game Commercial 2011 (Video)
As far as I know this commercial aired for the first time during Monday Night Football last night. It features NBA stars Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, and Dwayne Wade.
The stars are trying to make the point that they will play basketball anywhere and with anyone. The NBA might take their league away, but they can't take their love of the game.
The commercial itself...
Video: New Jordan Brand ad puts Melo, Wade, and CP3 in your pickup game
During the 1998-99 lockout, Nike put out several now-classic ads poking fun at our need for the game. Samuel L. Jackson and Spike Lee were (and are) more famous than most of us, but their passion at a driveway game of HORSE or little Regina Miller's middle school game wasn't so different from our own. Without the NBA, everyone has to find a way to keep up with their hoops...
Chris Paul and family to appear on Family Feud
New Orleans Hornets star Chris Paul and his family will play “Family Feud” next week to benefit Paul’s CP3 Foundation. The episode is scheduled to air at 3 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 1) on WGNO…
Family members participating in the game show will be Chris, brother C.J., dad Charles, mom Robin and aunt Rhonda.
The opposing team will [...]
Carmelo Anthony Continues To Be Swagless
You may recall a post entitled Carmelo Anthony: From Swagged-Out To Swag-Less which I submitted on the 16th of September. It chronicled Melo’s transformation from a hip hop era fashion icon into one of Kanye West’s hipster disciples. Anyway, Melo continues his journey down this questionable fashion path… here he is wearing leopard-print slip-ons at GQ’s Gentleman’s...
NBA World All-Star Classic Update: Chris Paul, LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony out
Further to yesterday's news about the forthcoming NBA World All-Star Classic tour, coming to Australia, Macau, the United Kingdom and Puerto Rico, comes news that LeBron James, Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony will not take part in the games. The trio have pulled out of the tour, citing the hectic travel schedule and a desire to spend time with their families (understandably...

You know that big planned international tour of players going all over the globe? The legs may have just come out from under it. LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and Chris Paul all have pulled out of it at the last minute, tweets ESPN’s Chris Broussard. This was on top of Derrick Rose and Russell Westbrook…
