The Oklahoma City Thunder have assigned rookie point guard Reggie Jackson to their NBA Development League affiliate in Tulsa.
General manager Sam Presti announced that Jackson would join the 66ers in time for their game against the Iowa Energy on Saturday night.
Jackson spent the past two months as Oklahoma City's backup point guard after Eric Maynor sustained a season-ending knee injury, but his role was significantly reduced after the Thunder signed veteran Derek Fisher this week.
It's the first D-League assignment for Jackson, the 24th pick last year.

Fisher, Thunder Still Adjusting To Each Other
Oklahoma City thought they had their backup point guard problem solved when they signed Derek Fisher Wednesday.
However, Friday night’s double-overtime game against the Minnesota Timberwolves proved that it’s going to take some time for Fisher to get used to his new role.
Fisher stepped on the court Wednesday night and the Oklahoma City crowd gave him a 45-second standing ovation...
Derek Fisher To The Thunder: The Missing Piece in OKC?
One of the big mid season acquisitions this season is the Oklahoma City Thunder adding veteran point guard Derek Fisher. Fisher, who was dealt to the Rockets hours before the trade deadline expired, had his contract bought out by the Rockets just days after they traded for him. After the buyout, he could go play for any team but the Los Angeles Lakers. Naturally, lots of teams were...
How The Derek Fisher Signing Is Going To Swing The West
What, more than anything else is the knock on the most talented team in the Western Conference? A lack of experience, and the inability to play four strong quarters. Throw in some Russel Westbrook takes too many shot jabs and big men with hands made of the remains of Medusa’s boyfriend (concrete, for the uneducated), there are enough knocks to believe that the best team in the...
Wolves can't withstand Durant, Westbrook
When Kevin Love hit a game-tying three-pointer with a second left in regulation, Kevin Durant smiled.
Of all the things to do after your team has blown a lead, with the chances of winning before overtime as slim as any, to smile would seem like the least obvious choice. But Durant is a competitor, and this was a challenge. It was as if he knew what was to come, that he and his team...
Those Who Saw OKC Beat The T-Wolves Witnessed History
I didn’t consider this until after the fact, but a Thunder/T-Wolves match up really does present a unique degree of potential for epic statistical feats. Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook have already proven to be one of the most explosive tandems in the history of the game, and Kevin Love has a tendency to put together crazy numerical combinations from time to time. Neither...

Kendrick Perkins dunks on Dwyane Wade and kicks him in the face (Video)
In Sunday night's NBA matchup between the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder, Thunder center Kendrick Perkins dunked on Heat guard Dwyane Wade. While hanging from the rim, Perkins stuck his foot out and kicked Wade in the face, and there will be some debate as to whether Perkins kicked Wade by accident or did it on purpose.
Wade was not happy and gave Perkins the death...

Three years ago, a headline like this wouldn't have existed. Heck, people probably wouldn't even care what these two teams would have been up to. But now, these two squads are one of the most exciting to watch in the NBA, and they displayed it tonight. Russell Westbrook went off for 45 points and six assists, while Kevin Durant contributed 40 along with 17 rebounds as...
