The Oklahoma City Thunder rallied in Game 1 to secure the win over the defending NBA champions Dallas Mavericks thanks to Kevin Durant's last second shot. But though Durant played the role of hero versus Dallas in Game 1, it still took a team effort to secure the win.

Thunder's Nick Collison provided toughness in the paint and in 15 minutes, he notched two rebounds, and two assists in Game 1 and as mentioned before, provided a punch for the Thunder which often doesn't show up on the stat sheet.

But as the Thunder's playoff march is just beginning, Collison recently did a Twitter Q&A for GQ .com and opened up about life in the NBA, zombies, his mane of chest hair and much more.

What jumps out at you in this Q&A is how Nick reveals how much of a toll playing in the NBA takes on a player's personal life. From money being a source of issues, injuries to marriages ending in divorce, the life of an NBA player may be glamorous on the outside but as you will read, it clearly is a burden to bear.

The worst injuries are the ones that affect how you play. It's frustrating to not be able to move or jump like you are capable of, and it's annoying to constantly feel that pain.

Having a lot of money for the first time can cause some issues. There are players who have lost friendships and had family relationships strained because of money. The money changes how people treat them, and all of a sudden instead of being family or a friend, they become an ATM. There are a lot of guys in the league who constantly feel the weight of taking care of people back home.

Being in the NBA can be tough on marriages and families. It is hard to be away your kids so much.

I've been told around 80% of NBA marriages end in divorce. Every divorced couple has their own reasons why the marriage didn't work, but this career definitely adds some obstacles.

Also in this Q&A, Nick decided to have some fun with some questions and answered a question on his he is a hairy guy and which Thunder players would and would not survive a zombie apocalypse.

Here is his "answer" to how hairy he really is. Be warned, it will scar your mind for life!

Now about that zombie apocalypse, Collison gave which of his teammates would survive a night of the walking dead and which one wouldn't. And it would seem rookie Reggie Jackson and Kendrick Perkins would have to count their prayers while James Harden's beard would prove the ultimate zombie protector.

Take, for instance, Reggie Jackson, our rookie, who cannot seem to stay awake for any extended period of time and passes out on all flights within five minutes.

I think Kendrick Perkins would be OK at first, but eventually he would look at a zombie and not like the way the zombie was looking at him. If you know Perk the way I know Perk, you know he wouldn't be able to resist getting face to face with the zombie and letting him know he doesn't play. He could fight off a few of the zombies, but eventually there would be too many, and I'm worried he wouldn't make it. Meanwhile, James Harden would definitely survive, because a zombie is not going to want to get any of that beard in his throat while trying to eat his brain.

Well at least Harden's beard would actually prove to be of some use seeing how that beard looks like a disgusting mess.

Make sure to read the complete Q&A as Nick discusses more topics such as the Sonics move to OKC, playing defense and more.

Collison and the Thunder will continue to look to not only dethrone the Mavericks but march towards the NBA Finals as many predicted this team would do but towards the end of the season, OKC sputtered which cost them the number one seed in the West to the San Antonio Spurs.
