After 15 years in the league, Tim Duncan is still one of the better big men in the game. He’s an NBA legend, but his role on the Spurs has decreased as he gets older.
Nonetheless, he can still play. He averaged 15 points, 9 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game last season, only while playing 28 minutes per game during the regular season.
It’s only the preseason, but the play below was pretty impressive.
If Tim Duncan can make plays like this the rest of the season, I think the Spurs will be happy. Although it’s probably in his best interest to stick to his game. He’s never been the most nimble guy in the league.

In the first quarter of the Spurs-Magic preseason matchup (San Antonio did lose to the Magic 100-104), TD got fouled and tossed up a circus shot for the "and 1." Check it out.

He may be seeing the end of his brilliant NBA career nearing but if the following video is any indication, San Antonio Spurs' Tim Duncan sure has plenty of miles left in the tank.
Though the Spurs lost to the Heat yesterday TD provided us with a nice coast to coast play for the "and 1." Maybe TD will toss his name as a possible guard heading into next season....
