Found November 30, 2012 on Fox Sports:
Alexey Shved scored 10 of his 16 points in the fourth quarter and Kevin Love overcame a nasty stomach bug to collect 15 points and 14 rebounds in the Minnesota Timberwolves' 95-85 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night. Nikola Pekovic had 14 points and tied a career high with 16 rebounds and J.J. Barea added 15 points and five assists for the Wolves, who are getting star guard Ricky Rubio back at practice this weekend for the first time since he tore an ACL last March. Larry Sanders had a career-high 10 blocks to go with 10 points and 12 rebounds and Brandon Jennings had 18 points and six boards for the Bucks, who lost backup point guard Beno Udrih to a right leg injury in the fourth quarter. Love was a game-time decision, but was almost forced to gut it out given the Wolves' long list of injuries. He missed 13 of his first 17 shots and was clearly laboring throughout the game. He was able to dig deep enough for a key putback during an 11-0 run in the fourth qua...

Rookie Shved continues to intrigue for Wolves

MINNEAPOLIS It's impossible to tell whether Alexey Shved is shocked by what he's doing or merely curious at why everyone around him seems so utterly surprised. There's a lot of nervous laughter when you talk to Shved. A lot of staring downward, a lot of shrugging, a lot of telling everyone that no, this is not a big deal. Not his play. Not his haircut. Not the adjustment...

Kevin Love Powers Timberwolves to Victory Despite Illness

Somehow athletes can play through illness better than most of us can even do nothing through illness.  They can ignore the lethargic feelings that confine normal people to their beds.  They fight fever with rigorous physical activity that would bring the average joe to their knees.  And they do it all in front of thousands of other people.  Such was the case with Kevin Love...

Wolves Friday: Love questionable against Bucks

MINNEAPOLIS The Timberwolves announced at their morning shootaround that Kevin Love is questionable for tonight's game against Milwaukee. He's sick no further details were known and was not present at shootaround. Andrei Kirilenko will also miss his second consecutive game with bask spasms.Coach Rick Adelman does not speak at shootaround, so it's hard to predict what...

Sick Love stll leadsTimberwolves past Bucks

MINNEAPOLIS -- Even a sick Kevin Love is hard to stop. An ailing Love and Nikola Pekovic combined for 29 points and 30 rebounds, helping the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 95-85 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Friday night at Target Center. Love scored 15 points and grabbed 14 rebounds while Pekovic added 14 points and 16 rebounds for the Wolves (7-8). Love seemed to avoid the...

DeMarcus Cousins called for a charge, Kevin Love called for a block…on the same play (VIDEO)

The block/charge call is both the toughest and most-often missed call in basketball.  In 1997, the NBA introduced the semi-circle in the middle of the lane to help referees determine if the defender was under the bucket at the point of contact, but the impact has been minimal.  Sometimes refs will pull out a call with grandeur so they look like they’re sure in their call.  Other...

Bucks take on struggling Wolves

Their centerpiece's return has not solved the Minnesota Timberwolves' problems, but another key player is closer to coming back. The Milwaukee Bucks will largely have to solve their issues using the pieces already in place. Both Minnesota and Milwaukee started the season surprisingly well but have since struggled heading into their matchup at the Target Center on Friday night...

Kevin Love’s clever play: Joe Johnson fakes out Paul Pierce

Minnesota Timberwolves star Kevin Love is one of the smartest players in the league and that was on display in a game against Golden State. During the third quarter of that game Love found himself caught in midair trying to shot a jump shot. So instead of firing up a bad shot Love fired a pass off the back of teammate Greg Steimsma. Love then got the ball back and drew a foul on...

Wolves return from road trip with new life

MINNEAPOLIS The Timberwolves are on their way back to Minnesota Thursday morning after a week on the road in Portland, Oakland, Sacramento and Los Angeles. They come away from the trip with one win the obvious one, Sacramento and three losses, and it's hard to chalk the trip up as anything more than a slight disappointment. No, it wasn't terrible. There weren't blowout...

Shootaround: Love that music

Utah Jazz (9-7) vs. Oklahoma City Thunder (12-4) 8 p.m. The Jazz just do. They are quiet and they are workmanlike, with little flash and glitz. Al Jefferson is the team's star and he is just the definition of being underrated. Paul Millsap does his work as a hybrid forward that straddles the definitiono f post-up and stretch-4. Why don't we talk about the Jazz more...
