Chicago Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau said that he would visit point guard Derrick Rose at some point this offseason to see how the All-Star’s workouts were going. Thibodeau did just that recently, and he came away with his visit from Rose with positive reports to share. Thibodeau told reporters – including K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune – that Rose has built confidence in his leg, adding that the point guard’s body is now “a lot stronger.”“What the summer has done is it's given him more time to build confidence and strength in his leg,” Thibodeau said in Las Vegas in July. “His entire body is a lot stronger.”Thibodeau visited Rose in Los Angeles, where the All-Star is spending his offseason. Rose is still slated to attend Bulls’ training camp, which begins later this month, and he’s been working out with his personal trainer and other NBA players, including Jimmy Butler.Thibodeau told reporters that Rose has increased the range on his jumper in addition to improving on a left-handed floater that he’s worked on extensively during the offseason. While he was limited to what he could do with his legs over the past year-plus, he’s had time to work on his shooting. As a result of his extended absence and extensive recovery, Thibodeau said that he doesn’t expect Rose to face “big limitations” once training camp begins. While the Bulls could elect to take things slow with Rose early on during the exhibition season, it doesn’t sound like there will be any restrictions on his by the time the regular season begins.Follow @hoopsinjurynews
