A right triceps contusion will sideline Tony Parker for Sunday's game with the Phoenix Suns. The Spurs released the information Saturday on its Twitter account. Gary Neal is also questionable for the game due to tightness in his left calf. Nando De Colo, who hasn't done much of anything, could get some extra playing time but isn't worth a look in anything but deep leagues. I'm really high on Danny Green, and I'd expect his hot run to continue. As for Parker's return, after Sunday the Spurs don't play until Wednesday. For now, consider Parker questionable for that one. Parker is having an MVP-caliber season, averaging 21.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 7.6 assists and .9 steals in 54 games. Injury report: Tony Parker (right triceps contusion) is out for tomorrow's Phoenix game. Gary Neal (tightness, left calf), is questionable. — San Antonio Spurs (@spurs) February 23, 2013 Photo: Mark Runyon.

Spurs Injury News: Tony Parker out with triceps injury

Tony Parker is hurt again.  This would be news if the San Antonio Spurs were losing in the games he missed.  However, the Spurs manage to find ways to win no matter who is sidelined with an injury.  This continued to prove true as the Spurs beat the Phoenix Suns last night without Parker on the court.Mike Monroe of the San Antonio Express-News says Parker suffered a right triceps...

Tony Parker and the Spurs School the Clippers

The Clippers may be one of the youngest and most exciting teams in the league to watch, but there is something to be said for a team that is a little bit older and has a whole lot more experience in big games. For the Spurs it was all Tony Parker early and often. The man had 31 points and 7 assists in the first three quarters alone! The team went on to win 116-90 to improve to...

Spurs dominate Rodeo Road Trip, Parker's MVP Campaign Continues

The San Antonio Spurs ended their Rodeo Road Trip in usual fashion with a winning record. The team's nine game road trip ended at 7-2, mainly with the help of NBA MVP candidate Tony Parker. Parker played well in every game, with the exception of their last game of the trip against Phoenix where he was injured with a triceps contusion. The Spurs' two losses were disappointments...

Parker, Spurs dominate Clippers in Los Angeles

Looking back to Sunday in Houston, San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker and Los Angeles Clippers guard Chris Paul shared the floor together representing the Western Conference All-Stars. On a national stage, with all All-Star teammates, Paul won the All-Star MVP award with 20 points and 15 assists in a game that presented very little defense. On Thursday, on national television...

Video: ESPN debates TP vs. CP3. Who do you got?

ESPN's Skip Bayless hasn't been shy about his love for the Spurs. He's even gone so far as saying that they're "his" San Antonio Spurs, so it won't come as a surprise that a player in a silver and black jersey gets his nod for NBA MVP this season. On the February 21 show of the network's show "First Take," the question of who would...

Matchup of the Game: Spurs vs Warriors

The matchup of the game when the San Antonio Spurs play their second game of a back to back against the Golden State Warriors will be between Tony Parker and Stephen Curry. This will be the second meeting between the two teams this, but the first that Stephen Curry will be involved in. Curry was injured during their first matchup and Golden State substituted Jarrett Jack in the...

Leonard, Mills lead Parker-less Spurs over Suns

After falling to the Golden State Warriors in overtime on Friday, the San Antonio Spurs were on the final leg of their nine-game Rodeo Road Trip Sunday in Phoenix where they were missing their All-Star point guard Tony Parker (right triceps contusion) and backup shooting guard Gary Neal (tightness, left calf). After 48-minutes, a game that had some excellent defense at times...

5 things to watch: Spurs vs. Suns

The San Antonio Spurs (44-13) will wrap up their 2013 Rodeo Road Trip (6-2) with a stop in Phoenix to face the Suns (18-38). Kobe says he doesn't fear the Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs own the best record in the NBA, sit atop the Western Conference, have a legit MVP candidate (Tony Parker) and are looking like a well-oiled machine that will once again be challenging for the NBA crown. The Los Angeles Lakers have been struggling all season. Dwight Howard isn't meshing with the team, is dealing with injuries and struggling to produce...

Spurs rout Clippers for 5th straight win

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The aging San Antonio Spurs came out of the All-Star break rested and raring to go. They notched their second win since the break ended and fifth in a row, beating the Los Angeles Clippers 116-90 on Thursday night behind 31 points from Tony Parker. "Tony's been a huge part of us playing that well. He's been the one who is most consistent,"...

Even short-handed, Spurs too much for Suns

PHOENIX (AP) -- Tony Parker took the night off with a sore right triceps. Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili were far from their best. Yet, even at the end of a long, long road trip, the San Antonio Spurs still had plenty to handle the Phoenix Suns in a 97-87 victory on Sunday night. Patty Mills and Kawhi Leonard scored 16 points apiece to lead six players in double figures and the Spurs...

Falling to Spurs helps Suns rise up on down list

PHOENIX -- In a race being run backward, the Phoenix Suns are about to catch another competitor. For now, there are three NBA teams with winning percentages darn-near equal to or even worse than the 18-39 Suns (the Washington Wizards check in at .315 to the Suns' .316.). Defeat No. 39 was accomplished Sunday at US Airways Center, where the San Antonio Spurs -- working without...

The Pretend Clip Show

Like the real guys, two dimensional So I tuned in the late NBA game tonight, hoping to see a good battle with the West's #1 seed on the road against the third-ranked Clippers. It was the Clip Show's first game after the all star break, with their ridiculously loaded roster at full strength, in a national game against an opponent that swept them when they were hurt in last...
