Portland C Marcus Camby stated about the Blazers’ road struggles, “I don’t know why we play like we do (Friday) and then we go on the road and the effort doesn’t seem to be there at times.”

The Blazers have struggled to score on the road, but that may change in this game facing a Jazz team that only ranks 21st in the league on defense.

LeMarcus Aldridge (22.5 ppg), Wesley Mathews (13.6 ppg), and Gerald Wallace (13.5 ppg) will be counted on to provide the offense tonight. Mathews is an ex-Jazz play and last season in the 2 games against his former team he averaged 19.5 ppg.

For Portland to win this game they will need to play good D and hit the boards facing the Utah frontcourt duo of Al Jefferson (17.9 ppg 9 rpg) and Paul Millsap (17 ppg 9.1 rpg).

Aldridge and Camby must play these guys well and not allow them to dominate the paint.

Both the Jazz and Blazers are 4.5 games back of the Thunder in the Northwestern Division and the winner of tonight’s game will take over 3rd place in the division.
