Despite getting 16 points on 6/10 shooting from one of the new guys, Gerald Wallace, the Celtics lost their preseason opener tonight to the Toronto Raptors, 97-89. I watched this one in it's entirety, and I gotta say I am very excited to watch this team play this year. Now they obviously won't rise up and defeat the Heat (unfortunately) in the conference finals, but I'm still pretty confident that they'll win at least 42 games. Yea, they're in a rebuilding phase, but is there a law against winning when "rebuilding?" Seriously, is there?Tonight's first USOTN of the 2013-2014 season goes to the fact that Gerald Wallace's 6/10 shooting night, good for a 60% field goal percentage for those who can't do math, was the highest on the team. Now it was the first preseason game, but these guys are pros. You'd think more than one of them would make more than half his shots. But apparently not in early October. They'll get better later on, but for now, improvement is needed.
