Found November 28, 2012 on Project Spurs:
The San Antonio Spurs have their fair share of players hailing from France - Tony Parker, Boris Diaw and Nando De Colo. So it shouldn't come as no surprise to see that instant chemistry between these three players whenever they are on the court at the same time considering they have played together many times for the French national team. And that chemistry was showcased between Diaw and De Colo during the Spurs' recent game versus the Wizards. Check out Diaw and De Colo showing off that "French Connection" on a fastbreak during the game. Talk about some fancy passing!

NBA Commissioner David Stern is irate that Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich sat San Antonio's three stars for Thursday night's nationally televised game against the Heat.

Spurs playing without 4 regulars in Miami

San Antonio is playing at Miami on Thursday night without Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green, who were sent home by Spurs coach Gregg Popovich to rest. Duncan, Parker and Green are starters. Ginobili is the team's top reserve. Popovich says the decision was made when he saw the schedule, and that it had nothing to do with facing the Heat. Thursday's...

David Stern is quite ticked off at the Spurs

The San Antonio Spurs are a very good basketball team. They also happen to quite long in the tooth for NBA standards. Head coach Gregg Popovich sent Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green back to Texas rather than have them play in tonight’s nationally televised game against the defending champion, Miami Heat. [...]

Spurs' Parker back on track

After an up and down start to the year, Tony Parker is back on track. TP has been on fire over the last week and although teammate Tim Duncan won Western Conference Player of the Week, Parker likely gave him some competition. Parker got things rolling last Wednesday with a 26 point, six assist performance against Boston. He followed that up with 33 and 10 against Indiana and...

Gregg Popovich Explains Controversial Decision To Rest 4 Top Players

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich made a controversial decision to send Tim Duncan, Tony Parker, Manu Ginobili and Danny Green back to San Antonio after Wednesday night’s win in Orlando instead of heading to Miami to take on the Heat Thursday in a nationally televised (TNT) game. Playing 4 games in 5 nights, and hosting the 11-2 Grizzlies Saturday, Popovich was just trying to do...

Contain Parker To Beat Spurs?

For many years, there was one name the opponents of the San Antonio Spurs had to worry about: Tim Duncan. He used to be the main focus of the opposing defense every possession. Now with Duncan being older, he's not the weapon the rest of the NBA should solely about on the team and Jacque Vaughn knows it. Vaughn praised Parker after the Spurs defeated his Orlando Magic on Wednesday...

NBA not happy with Spurs resting regulars

MIAMI (AP) -- The San Antonio Spurs will be punished by the NBA for their decision to send four top players home and not make them available to play in Miami against the Heat on Thursday night. Shootaround: Welp, that was fun

San Antonio Spurs (13-3) vs. Miami Heat (10-3) 8 p.m./TNT Um, so this game got a lot less interesting. I mean, it might be fun to watch because Charles Barkley is calling the game, but Gregg Popovich's decision to send Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili home to end this road trip for San Antonio takes a lot of the juice out of this game. This is not a 13-3 Spurs...

Popovich chose to rest his aging stars as the game vs. Miami would be their 4th game in five nights. Prior to the game, Stern released a statement shown on TNT calling the Spurs...

Spurs end Liverpool's unbeaten streak

Gareth Bale scored a stunning free-kick and set up Aaron Lennon with a wonderful solo run to help Tottenham bring Liverpool's eight-match unbeaten run to an end at White Hart Lane with a 2-1 win . The Welshman scored what has to be one of the most unlucky own goals in Premier League history to tarnish his evening slightly, but Tottenham still managed to come away with their...
