Though the San Antonio Spurs lost Game 3 to the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals, Tim Duncan made some NBA history by becoming the all-time leader in playoff blocked shots.
TD moved past NBA great Kareem-Abdul Jabbar on the blocked shot list. Check out the historic moment which occurred late in the second quarter.
I can go on all day about TD's list of accomplishments so let's just say he is pretty good and is a sure-fire first ballot lock for the Basketball Hall of Fame.
Though I am sure TD doesn't care about this individual accomplishment and would have rather seen the Spurs go up 3-0 on the Thunder.

Every morning, we'll give you five things from the night before in the NBA to start your day.
1: The Spurs...... lose?
This has to be some kind of special effect, right? That was Hollywood CGI that made the Thunder fly all over the court and make more baskets than the Spurs, wasn't it?
After a 20 game winning streak and no losses since April 9, it's hard to believe...
The Spurs are just two wins away from their fifth trip to the NBA Finals, but this almost wasn’t this case, as the team reportedly considered making big moves last summer that would have altered the franchise’s future. Acccording to the New York Post’s Peter Vecsey, Spurs brass was willing to part ways with stars Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili in an effort to get younger and...
For all intents, the Spurs put the Thunder in an elimination game Thursday night. And Oklahoma City responder with the type of effort that San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich could appreciate. The Spurs' lead in the best-of-seven Western Conference final is 2-1 after the 102-82 loss in Game 3. The fourth game is back in Oklahoma City on Saturday. "They played really well...
Most people believe that the “Moneyball” theory cannot work in the NBA because of the high maintenance of stars, individual talent and sometimes lack of a team concept. However, what professional sports prove time and time again is that sometimes reasons for team successes are overlooked. The “Moneyball” theory is a term conceptualized by Oakland A’s general manager Billy [...]
DUNKIN' ON DUNCAN
The Oklahoma City Thunder have finished off the San Antonio Spurs unbeaten streak in the NBA playoffs after they collected a 102-82 victory in game three of the Western Conference Finals. Thunder star Kevin Durant decided to make his night more memorable by throwing down this poster dunk on Tim Duncan in the second quarter of play:
Spurs vs. Thunder

(Spurs) Championships: 4 Last Championship: 2007 Last Season: Lost in Western Conference first round

In Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals, San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich got a little bit of his own medicine when Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks decided to intentionally foul Tiago Splitter, just like the Spurs did to DeAndre Jordan and Reggie Evans in the second round against the Clippers. It wasn’t nearly as effective because Splitter made...
On This episode of the Project Spurs-News4WOAI Spurs RoundTable, myself, Paul Garcia and Bob Gambert take a look back at the San Antonio Spurs awful performance versus the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 3 of their Western Conference Finals series.
The panel points out what went wrong and what must the Spurs do tonight to take a commanding lead in the series.
We also take a deeper...
The Spurs’ ridiculous winning streak finally ended last night in a butt-whoopin’ at the hands of the OKC Thunder. But take solace, Spurs fans, because Busted Coverage is here to take your mind off that game and put it squarely on one of the hotties ready to shake it for you when the series heads back down south Monday night.

There are four-winning streaks in play tonight, and one or three of those streaks will be broken by the time the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder complete game three of the Western Conference Finals.
For the Spurs, they have three winning streaks on the line tonight. First, they have their undefeated playoff record (10-0) at play. Second, they have their final 10-game...
After a month and a half of dominance, San Antonio Spurs coach Gregg Popovich suddenly had a reason to question his team's passion and desire.
Kevin Durant scored 22 points, Thabo Sefolosha set playoff career-bests with 19 points and six steals, and the Oklahoma City Thunder snapped San Antonio's 20-game winning streak with a 102-82 victory in Game 3 of the Western Conference...
“I thought we played great defense from the start,” said Oklahoma City Thunder head coach Scott Brooks, after his Thunder snapped the San Antonio Spurs’ 10-0 playoff winning streak on Thursday evening 102-82, “defensively I thought we played as well as you could play against the best team in basketball.”
The San Antonio Spurs had seemed to be immortal since April 11, the...
Now is probably not the best time to be commenting on basketball players' overall IQs (although Tim Duncan DID graduate in four years from Wake Forest). Now is the time to go on the court and show what you got.
The Playoffs are a grueling challenge for every player. Your weaknesses are exposed more and more as the teams get better and better deeper in the Playoffs and your opponents...
