The San Antonio Spurs for the win at home over the Golden State Warriors last night 104-93 thanks in large part to Tim Duncan's incredible stat-line of 25 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and four blocks.
And one of those four blocks for Duncan came at the expense of Warriors' Andrew Bogut.
In the first quarter of action, Bogut went strong to the rim only to have his attempt emphatically denied by Duncan. Check it out.

When Tim Duncan came back from knee injury last month, he looked a little off, especially on offense. In the five games in the month February after returning from injury, Duncan only shot 50 percent in one of six games and the jumper especially looked off. In the month of March, Duncan is shooting 58 percent from the field and in the last three games he's been spectacular...
Tim Duncan has been on a roll this season leading the San Antonio Spurs in Tony Parker's absence and breaking records left and right these last two years.
He's been climbing up lists in various categories and cementing his legacy as one of the best big men in the history of the NBA.
Duncan is 14th in all time rebounds and only needs 16 to pass his former rival, Shaquille...
San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan seems to be doing it all lately; putting up monster numbers on a nightly basis, rising in the all time NBA ranks and helping the Spurs keep a comfortable lead as the first seed in the Western conference with all-star guard Tony Parker out.
It’s safe to say Duncan’s having a good season.
With his numbers considerably higher pretty much...
The Warriors still must see whether Andrew Bogut can sustain his current level of play -- and, most importantly, health -- against elevated competition.
Tim Duncan had 25 points, 13 rebounds, six assists and four blocks and the San Antonio Spurs beat the Golden State Warriors 104-93 Wednesday night.
Tiago Splitter added 17 points, Manu Ginobili had 16 points and seven assists and fellow reserve Nando De Colo had 10 points for San Antonio (52-16), which is second to Miami (53-14) for the league's best record.
Stephen Curry had...
Let’s take a trip down memory lane shall we?
As Tim Duncan entered the NBA, he saw David Robinson, a perennial All-Star and a superstar in his own right, adjust his own game to ensure he would flourish. Duncan saw someone completely re-invent himself so he can be an asset to help the team win, even if it meant him sacrificing his own numbers.
So when you hear Tiago Splitter...
25 points, 13 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 blocks all came from a 36-year old man in the NBA on Wednesday evening.
Who was that man, San Antonio Spurs’ Tim Duncan, as Duncan guided the Spurs in the fourth quarter to a 104-93 victory in the AT&T Center.
“He was unbelievable,” said Spurs forward Tiago Splitter (17 points) after the game. “He’s in great shape and...
It is a good week to be old.
While most people are preoccupied with LeBron James and the Miami Heat’s growing win streak, Tim Duncan and the Spurs are quietly once again marching along without hoopla, and without even having all of their top players. With a decisive win over the Warriors on Wednesday, the Spurs now have just one win fewer than the Heat, with much less hype. They...
There is dominance like when Tim Duncan rejects shot and there is dominance like when the San Antonio Spurs beat the Golden State Warriors 104-93 at home Wednesday night.
Wait a minute! 104-93? That's not dominance; it's a solid win, yeah, but dominance--no.
That wasn't what I was talking about.
The win was the 29th consecutive time that the Warriors have...
They say the NBA is a player's league, and that does seem to be generally true, but things are a little different in San Antonio. In San Antonio, Gregg Popovich can go full "college football coach" on his team and have it actually work.
Popovich recently has been mad about the Spurs' defense, so the last couple days he basically called everybody into the practice...
The San Antonio Spurs (52-16) and the Utah Jazz (34-34) will face off tonight in San Antonio in what could be a possible first round playoff matchup preview with the Spurs sitting atop the Western Conference and the Jazz trailing the Lakers for the final playoff spot. It might also be the return of guard Tony Parker to the Spurs' lineup after dealing with a left ankle injury...
All-Star point guard Tony Parker is close to returning to the San Antonio Spurs' lineup.
The Western Conference leaders should be fine until then if Tim Duncan can continue one of his best stretches of the season.
San Antonio will try to sweep its four-game homestand on Friday night when the slumping Utah Jazz look to avoid their first eight-game road losing streak in eight...
