MIAMI — Ray Allen has started to pay the Miami Heat back dividends off their investment in him.

On Saturday Allen sank the go-ahead 3-pointer in the closing seconds of their 110-108 victory over a tenacious Cleveland squad.

Dwyane Wade’s 18 points came in handy although his game-winning block off a Jeremy Pargo jumper (video below) was his biggest statement of the night.

Ray Allen there for LeBron at the buzzer

MIAMI -- The Boston Celtics don't like the Miami Heat. Nevertheless, Ray Allen remembers the Celtics coming to LeBron James' defense last season. It was March 2 and the Heat were playing at Utah. James passed off in the waning seconds to Udonis Haslem, who missed a potential game-winning jumper. James got barbecued in the media for not taking the shot himself. "He...

Allen comes to Heat's rescue against Cavaliers

MIAMI -- Ray Allen stole the show -- again. Saturday night was the first time LeBron James played his former team as a reigning NBA champion. And even though the Heat star had a game-high 30 points, it was Allen who made the biggest scoring plays late to help the Heat rally to a 110-108 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. Trailing 108-101 with 1:58 left, the Heat started their...

Balanced Cavs Go Toe-to-Toe with Miami, Unravel Late

On a back-to-back, against the class of the NBA, without their star point guard, I wasn’t expecting much out of the Cavaliers last night in Miami. But, the Cavaliers gave viewers one of the most entertaining games of the season as they caught fire from behind the arc in the first half and had their most balanced scoring of the season with seven players reaching double figures....
