Talk about the best way to take in some NBA action.

A couple of lucky Dallas Mavericks fans got to do what perhaps any NBA fan would want to do during a game -- sit on the bench with their favorite team. That's right, two guys were able to sit on the Mavs' bench and even were drinking some booze. One also decided the "cool" thing to do is to wear sunglasses inside the Palace at Auburn Hills.

Though for Mavs' Vince Carter you got to wonder how in the heck did you get so deep on the bench sitting next to these two guys.

Vince Carter Posterizes Emeka Okafor

Check out the old man teaching the (kind of) youngster about how not to let him go to the baseline.  Vinsanity may be getting up there in years, but he apparently does still have some energy left.  This is a pretty great poster, and you can tell how great it really is by the bench’s reaction. Pistons fans 'on the bench' were cool, says Mavericks' Vince Carter

As several NBA sleuths figured out, the guys were in their seats -- purported to cost $750 -- and Dallas' Vince Carter was in the stands, so to speak, instead of on the bench, thus providing the optical illusion.

Mavericks Bench Crashers

And though it may be hard to see, Carter...

Drunk dudes killin' it on the Mavs bench

So we've all snuck down from the nosebleeds to some better seats at games. Sneaking down a section is no biggie. Sneaking down to the the front row? Now that may be difficult and may require a little bit of creativity. But sneaking all the way down to the Mavericks bench, between Vince Carter and Delonte West? Now that takes balls! And drinking beer while dressed like white...

Fans Grab A Seat On The Mavs Bench

I don't know how these guys did it, or how they lasted so long, but these two guys in Detroit managed to park themselves between Delonte West and Vince Carter on the Dallas Mavericks' bench. You know, considering the Palace's history with fans and players, you'd think there'd be slightly better security separating them from the bench. It's a hilarious...

Fashion Designer Aaron Cohen Drinks Beer on Mavericks Bench During Pistons Game

Video: Bearded Fans Drink Beer on the Dallas Mavericks’ Bench

There was an amazing sight in Detroit last night, with two bearded fans sipped on their beers while seated between Vince Carter and Delonte West during the Mavericks/Pistons game. A Couple Of Beer-Swilling Guys With Beards Sat On The Mavericks' Bench Tonight In Detroit

At first glance, it looks like these two jokers kicking back with beers simply had seats at the end of the Dallas bench, but it soon becomes obvious they're actually seated between Delonte West and Vince Carter. It's tough to tell whether the best part of this is the video itself, complete with that terrific shot panning the Mavs bench until we get to our boys, or the incredulous...
