The Memphis Grizzlies won Game 3 by trading physical blows with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The 87-81 victory gave Memphis a 2-1 lead in a series that the Thunder may be doomed to lose.

Memphis came out of the locker room ready to scrap in the third period besting the Thunder 22-15.

Thunder leader Kevin Durant doubled-doubled with 25 points and 11 rebounds.

After the game, Durant told ESPN that he still believes in this group. “It’s frustrating, but we can’t hang our heads,” Durant said.

“We have to keep playing and keep improving. We just have to learn from it. We have to embrace the tough times and get better from it. I believe in my teammates.”

Kevin Durant Wears Seattle Supersonics Hat During Oklahoma City Thunder Practice (Photo)

Seattle fans were pretty bummed out when the Supersonics left in 2008, and they are in a bad mood again now that a bid to move the Sacramento Kings up north has run into roadblocks with the NBA. They may not ever get over the sting of seeing Kevin Durant play in Oklahoma City, where he has blossomed into one of the league’s brightest stars for the Thunder, but at least Durant remembers...

Kevin Durant wears Seattle Supersonics hat to Thunder practice

A couple of days ago, Oklahoma City Thunder star Kevin Durant posted an image of himself wearing a Seattle Supersonics hat to his Twitter account via Instagram. Durant played his rookie season in Seattle before the team moved to Oklahoma City to become the Thunder and since then, Kevin has spoken positively of the Emerald City. Earlier today, Durant was seen by Oklahoman sports writer...

Kevin Durant Says He Can Do More To Help Thunder Win

Kevin Durant has done everything to help the Oklahoma City Thunder stay afloat since Russell Westbrook went down with a torn meniscus. Durant most nights during these playoffs will lead the Thunder in scoring, assist, rebounds, steals, and anything else relevant. The Thunder are down 2-1 to the Grizzlies and their backs are against the wall, but as Durant told ESPN, “he still...

Kevin Durant goes coast-to-coast for two-handed slam against Memphis

There are few players in NBA history that can do the things that Thunder star Kevin Durant can pull off on a daily basis. In the second quarter of today’s game three between Oklahoma City and the Memphis Grizzlies, KD grabbed a rebound and went coast-to-coast for a two-handed slam dunk:

Durant struggles late in Thunder loss to Grizzlies

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- Marc Gasol scored 20 points and hit two free throws with 1:03 left to put Memphis ahead to stay, and the Grizzlies held off the Oklahoma City Thunder 87-81 Saturday to take a 2-1 lead in this Western Conference semifinal. Gasol scored 16 in the second half as Memphis remained unbeaten at home in the postseason. The Grizzlies pulled out the win in an ugly...

Kevin Durant Says He Misses Russell Westbrook

Kevin Durant is feeling like LeBron did in Cleveland. Doesn’t matter if you are averaging 33, 9 and 6, no one Superstar can do it alone, no matter how great you are. That’s why I always found the argument that Durant would be better off without Westbrook to be silly. His numbers might be better, but the team would never be. Durant is a smart guy, he knows his job is harder with...

Kevin Durant Says Serge Ibaka’s Shooting Problems Are ‘All In His Mind’

Serge Ibaka wouldn’t normally be the focal point of the Oklahoma City Thunder’s offensive outlook, but with Russell Westbrook out for the remainder of the playoffs, Ibaka has become a focal point. Add to the equation that in essence, the Thunder chose Ibaka over James Harden last summer, and his lack of offensive punch becomes an even bigger issue. Ibaka is struggling mightily...

Matt Kemp, Skylar Diggins, Iman Shumpert, Kevin Durant & more send their moms Instagram shoutouts

It’s mother’s day so of course some of your favorite jocks took to Instagram to shout out their favorite girls. Dodgers’ star Matt Kemp, Thunder all-stars’ Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, Celtics Jeff Green, Knicks Iman Shumpert, Tulsa Shock’s Skylar Diggins and Giants WR Victor Cruz are just a few of the names who shouted out mama for the Gram. Check the photos and...

Thunder - Grizzlies Game Four: Hit Me With Your Not Good Enough Shot

Woo, I Say, Woo The first half was about as good as the Thunder can play in the post-Russell Westbrook Era. Kevin Martin was hitting shots, Serge Ibaka had shaken off his gremlins, Kevin Durant was being the most efficient scorer on the planet, and Nick Collison was making his Veteran Poise plays. They turned Mike Conley into a shooter rather than a passer, fought the Grizzly bigs...
