TEAMS: Charlotte Bobcats, Golden State Warriors, New Orleans Hornets
If it wasn’t for the horrendous Charlotte Bobcats right now, Golden State would be the talk of the NBA in terms of being the leagues worst team. Or, maybe they’re doing what every NBA team does the last 20 games of regular seasons…TANK.
When you pay good money to watch your favorite team, and they have the ball tied with eight seconds left, your last guess would be they would lose on a goaltending call and not even make it to overtime. Well that’s exactly what happened.
With the game inside 8 seconds left and tied 81-81, Golden State’s Charles Jenkins‘ drove to the hoop and put up a layup that Gustavo Ayon rejected. Greivis Vasquez then pushed it up court and passed to an open Marco Belinelli under the bucket for an easy game-winning layup. The Warrior’s Chris Wright decided he wasn’t going to go down without a fight, and would block the ball off the backboard, even though it was about an hour to late.
Oh boy, check it out for yourself:
