The offseason is usually when NBA players kick back, travel, and enjoy the down time before reporting to camp and taking on the rigors of another NBA season.
It's a time for them to unwind, relax and let their bodies heal but not for Spurs' Stephen Jackson.
Jackson has been spending his time in Texas hosting his own basketball camp for kids but he recently took time out to do some training with former NBA guard T.J. Ford. Ford led Jackson in some training, having him take a ridiculous amount of shots, drills, and overall conditioning to make sure he is primed and ready for the upcoming season.
Check out Ford and Jackson on the court as S-Jax is put through the grinder (h/t Project Spurs).
BEST OF MAXIM
When he isn't in the studio cutting a new single for his rap album, San Antonio Spurs' Stephen Jackson is in the gym and getting a good sweat as he prepares for the upcoming NBA season.
Jackson, who is in his home state of Texas for his basketball camp, took in some time to train with former Spur T.J. Ford in order to be sure S-Jax is good to go come training camp...
NBA championship rings are priceless to those who earned them, but a San Antonio Spurs legend nearly lost two of his forever.
Johnny Moore's nephew is accused of stealing the former Spurs guard's 1999 and 2003 championship rings as well as hisUniversityof Texas ring and pawning them in San Antonio, according to KSAT-TV.
The rings are reportedly worth more than 30,000 but...
San Antonio Spurs guard Cory Joseph didn't see too much time on the court for the Spurs as he was either regulated to the end of the bench or being bounced from San Antonio to Austin to play for the D-League Toros.
However, heading into next season, Joseph could be seeing limited minutes on the point guard rotation considering the Spurs will have Tony Parker, and Nando...
The Spurs Stephen Jackson has some skills as hybrid guard/forward but can he light up the Billboard charts the same way that he shoots up the court? You be the judge as here is the video for his single ” Fallout.”

There were whispers about it during the Western Conference Finals but the talk about San Antonio Spurs' Kawhi Leonard's development and ceiling began in earnest leading up to NBA Summer League and during it. It was only two games and against lesser opponents, but Leonard showed real promise as a primary or secondary scorer. Leonard's development isn't just...
If anyone on the current San Antonio Spurs roster knows Nando De Colo, it's fellow French teammate Tony Parker, who has played on the national team with De Colo for several years.
De Colo also often backs up Parker and they see plenty of each other in practices with the national team.
While Spurs fans have awaited his arrival in San Antonio since he was drafted with...
Given that I don’t speak French and do not want to provide the opportunity for this nightmare fuel of a video to gain any stronger of a hold upon my psyche, I haven’t the foggiest of a clue what in the heck is going on in this video, nor have I thought much thought to [...]
San Antonio Spurs guard Tony Parker is certainly loved by the entire country of France so it shouldn't come as a huge surprise he is a target of satires on French TV.
Take this for example of puppet TP hitting the golf course and taking a swing. However, unlike the real Parker, this puppet isn't as coordinated like an finely tuned athlete and fails miserably.
San Antonio Spurs' Cory Joseph may be establishing himself as an NBA player in the Alamo City but he doesn't forget where he came from.
Joseph, a native Canadian, recently took a walk down memory lane to where he learned how to play the game. Check out the video of Cory remembering his basketball roots including his father talking about his son and how basketball helped...
The biggest need for the San Antonio Spurs is size. Aside from Tim Duncan and Tiago Splitter, the Spurs depth at big men is scarce with an undersized DeJuan Blair (if the team doesn't trade him) and a one-dimensional player like Matt Bonner.
And with the team striking out in available big men in the offseason (Chris Kaman and Andray Blatche), the Spurs are set to work...
Next year when the 2013 FIBA Eurobasket kicks off, San Antonio Spurs draftee Davis Bertans and his country of Latvia may get the chance to face some current Spurs should they decide to dress for Les Bleus next summer.
Bertans and Latvia defeated Romania 85-77 to secure a place for the 2013 Eurobasket on Tuesday as Bertans finished the game with 11 points on 3-of-9 shooting...
According to Yahoo! Sports, the San Antonio Spurs worked out Tracy McGrady who is currently seeking a guaranteed contract which he won't get with the Spurs.
McGrady is a seven-time All Star but after a strong, promising NBA career with the Raptors and Magic, he was beset with injuries which derailed his career. Last season he was with the Hawks and averaged 5.3 points...
When you look back at the 2012 London Olympic games and think of the French men’s basketball team, you immediately might recall the ending scene with Nicolas Batum purposely hitting Juan Carlos Navarro in the lower region of the body.
The 2012 London games didn’t end the way Batum and France wanted, but San Antonio Spurs’ Tony Parker won’t ever forget the experience...
