Golden State Warriors
OAKLAND -- Andre Iguodala's apparent game-winning 3-pointer was overturned on video review Thursday night, allowing the Golden State Warriors to escape with a wild, 106-105 victory over the Denver Nuggets at Oracle Arena. After leading by as many as 12 in the first quarter and falling behind by 17 in the third, the Warriors took the lead for good at 104-102 on a David Lee interior hoop with 2:12 remaining. It was 106-103 in Golden State's favor before Iguodala drew a three-shot foul on Jarrett Jack with 3.4 seconds left, with the Warriors guard intentionally fouling his opponent in an attempt to give up two free throws instead of three. The referees ruled it a shooting foul, however, and with the Oakland crowd screaming at the top of its lungs, the Nuggets star made the first two foul shots, then missed a potential game-tying third, with Denver retaining possession when the Warriors' Draymond Green slapped the rebound away from Kenneth Faried and out of bounds. So much for Andrew Bogut nearing return. After speculation that Bogut would return to practice this week, the Golden State Warriors' center faced endless questions about why he was still sidelined. Finally, the team and Bogut broke to the fact that his surgery was more serious than originally reported. Bogut had micro-fracture surgery in April, a more serious surgery than...
The Golden State Warriors won't get center Andrew Bogut back as soon as they hoped. The team and the 7-footer announced that Bogut's left ankle surgery in April was a microfracture procedure, not an arthroscopic cleanup as was previously reported. It's possible Bogut could be out "one, two or three months," he said, according to the Oakland Tribune. Bogut...
The Denver Nuggets lost another close game Thursday night, this time to the Golden State Warriors 106-105, but there was some fantastic highlights for the Nuggets, many of them including the athletic and relentless Kenneth Faried. Despite early foul trouble, Faried was tenacious in his defense and his overall impact on this game; in the [...]The post Kenneth Faried’s Chase-Down...
Warriors vs. Nuggets was a crazy game. The ending sequence was one of the most bizarre ones I recall in awhile with the game going right down to the wire with the Warriors winning 106-105. The two teams have faced each other three times in the last 20 days so they’re quiet familiar with the [...]
Andrew Bogut was back on the practice court for the Golden State Warriors, but he was unable to participate in anything more than jogging and some light shooting on a separate court from the team. Bogut has been plagued by his surgically repaired left ankle and has missed 9 straight games. When the swelling originally occurred earlier in the [...]The post Dommermuth: Andrew Bogut’s...
The ROOSTER, Danilo Gallinari, was making some early noise during the first quarter of Friday night’s game between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Lakers. He went coast to coast and blew by the competition for an easy jam. H/T EyeOnBasketballThe post Danilo Gallinari With The Easy Jam (Video) appeared first on The NBA Mistress.
The Warriors had announced in April that Andrew Bogut had arthroscopic surgery on his ankle and that he would be out three months, but they finally admitted this week that he also had microfracture surgery.
Last night’s game between the Golden State Warriors and Denver Nuggets ended up being a very entertaining game. The Warriors pulled out a close victory in a game that came down to the buzzer.
The great part about watching the Nuggets is there’s so much athleticism on display that there are bound to be some highlight plays. This was exactly the case last night, with Kenneth Faried...
Kent Bazemore has appeared in six games for Golden State this season, recording two rebounds, two steals, two blocks and one assist in 10 minutes.
Andre Iguodala's 3-pointer as the buzzer sounded was waived off, and the Golden State Warriors held on for a wild 106-105 win over the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night after four replay reviews over the final 3.4 seconds.
Iguodala received a cross-court inbounds pass and connected from the left wing with a hand in his face, and Denver players celebrated by running off the court...
