The Portland TrailBlazers are 4.5 games out of the last playoff spot in the West and while the Warriors are reeling they have a shot tonight since LaMarcus Aldridge may miss this game with a hip injury.

The Nuggets are coming off an embarrassing 123-84 loss to the Nuggets and they have lost 9 of their last 11 games.

The Blazer have lost 2 straight and are only 5-5 in their last 10 games.

Unless they catch fire they will be watching the playoffs from home.

The reason the Blazers have struggled in the 2nd half of their season is their defense, which has given up nearly 99 ppg in their last 18 home games. The Blazers were stellar at home in the beginning of the season, but they have lost 10 of their last 18 games in their house.

Not only is Aldridge questionable for tonight’s game, but Nicolas Batum is as well. For Golden State Stephen Curry is out with an ankle injury.

With a couple of forwards question marks for tonight’s game the guard trio of Jamal Crawford, Wesley Matthews, and Raymond Felton must play well and FW J.J. Hicksonhas to give Portland some inside scoring and man the boards.

The David Lee vs. Hickson match up down low is key tonight and Lee has to get over the Denver game when he stunk up the court going only 4/15 from the field.

Golden State guards Klay Thompson and Nate Robinson have to play well tonight and they have to push the tempo, as if this is a half court game Portland has the big advantage.

This season the Warriors are 31-25 ATS with an O/U record of 26-30 and the Blazers are 27-30-1 ATS with an O/U record of 31-27.

Something tells me the Blazers will play well in desperation mode and they will win and cover in this game.
