Murphy was acquired by the Warriors in a trade with the Utah Jazz to acquire Andre Iguodala.
BEST OF MAXIM
Last year, ESPN ranked the Top 500 players in the NBA. Despite being the league’s best cheerleader, Golden State Warriors guard Kent Bazemore came in at #499. Considering there are 30 teams with 15 spots on each roster, only 450 players get to suit up…meaning ESPN didn’t even think Bazemore should be in the league. It looks like Bazemore is using that as some motivation to...
SOMETHING TO PROVE
Before the start of the 2012-13 NBA season, ESPN rated the best players in the NBA, ranking them from No. 1 all the way down to No. 500. Worth noting that there are 450 spots available spread out across the rosters 30 NBA teams. Low, low down on the list was Golden State Warriors shooting [...]The post Kent Bazemore, ranked NBA’s 499th-best player, has ’499′ stitched into shoes...
The Golden State Warriors have a problem that a lot of teams wish they had right about now.
They have a lot of talent at shooting guard, on the wing, and everyone can’t play. With the addition of Andre Iguodala, the Warriors will now probably have to shift Harrison Barnes to sixth man.
Barnes started 81 games for the Warriors during the regular season, and finally started to...
On Monday night in Las Vegas, the Golden State Warriors smashed past the Phoenix Suns 91-77 to claim the inaugural NBA Summer League Championship.
Undrafted second-year guard Kent Bazemore added 18 points to cap what has been an impressive summer run.
Prior to the team’s shoot around on Saturday, before the Warriors quarterfinal match-up with the Los Angeles Lakers, Bazemore was...
The Golden State Warriors signed free agent center Jermaine O'Neal to a $2 million, one-year contract Tuesday.
O'Neal, a six-time NBA All-Star, had reached agreement on a contract two weeks ago.
Golden State is likely to use the 34-year-old O'Neal as a backup to Andrew Bogut. Festus Ezeli is working back from right knee surgery and is not expected to be ready to return...
The NBA season may have ended, but that doesn’t mean we’re done posting basketball highlights. Team USA Basketball is having camp in Las Vegas this week, and they played a televised scrimmage at the Thomas & Mack Center on Thursday. One of the highlights was Golden State Warriors forward Harrison Barnes dunking on New Orleans [...]
Last year, ESPN ranked Warriors guard, Kent Bazemore, 499th in their annual list of the NBA’s best 500 players. Well, he is now using that as motivation as he had the number ’499′ stitched into the Under Armor shoes that he wore in the 2013 Las Vegas Summer League championship game Monday.
He was known for his bench celebrations last season, but was clearly motivated during...
Jermaine O’Neal is the latest addition to the Golden State Warriors.
It was almost a forgone conclusion that the 34-year-old center was done with basketball after 17 years in the NBA.

s a rookie last year, small forward Harrison Barnes played 81 regular-season games. All 81 of those games were starts, and he was the starter in all 12 games of the Golden State Warriors’ impressive playoff run.
That is probably going to change, though. In the offseason, the Warriors signed wing man Andre Iguodala and though Barnes said that he has not spoken to coaches yet about...
After the Golden State Warriors won the NBA Summer League championship against the Phoenix Suns, Warriors guard Kent Bazemore had a personal moment with the trophy:
That image invoked memories of Michael Jordan hugging the Larry O’Brien trophy after the Bulls won the 1991 NBA Championship:
Clearly, the first title is the one that you’ll always remember….
The NBA added a new twist to its Summer League by having championship games in both Orlando and Las Vegas. While some teams certainly did not take the competitive aspect as much to heart as others, it certainly added some spice to the proceedings.
And now there are two teams entering the history books. Or something.
Monday, the Golden State Warriors wrapped up an undefeated...
