The Golden State Warriors waived guard Charlie Bell after designating him as their amnesty player.
Per the new collective bargaining agreement, each team is allowed to release one player under the amnesty clause.
The salary will be wiped off off the book for salary cap purposes but the player will still be paid.
Bell appeared in only 19 games with the Warriors last season, averaging 1.7 points and 0.9 rebounds.
He had spent the previous five seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks, averaging a career-high 13.5 points in the 2006-07 season.

Oakland, CA (Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors signed restricted free agent forward DeAndre Jordan to an offer sheet on Sunday.
The Atlanta Hawks have signed 10-year veteran forward Vladimir Radmanovic, who played last season with Golden State. The 6-foot-10 Radmanovic averaged 5.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 74 games with the Warriors. He made 40.5 percent of his 3-point shots, ranking 23rd in the league. The deal was announced Friday night by general manager Rick Sund after the Hawks opened training camp.
The Golden State Warriors have signed center DeAndre Jordan of the Los Angeles Clippers to a restricted free agent offer sheet. The team announced the signing Sunday. A person with knowledge of the negotiations says the offer sheet signed is for a $42.7 million, four-year deal. As a restricted free agent, the Clippers have three days to match the offer.
