Found February 25, 2014 on Pass The Pill:
Monday night at Energy Solutions Arena would prove to be quite the task for the Boston Celtics.  They came into Utah to wrap up their long road trip to face a Jazz team riding on a three-game losing streak.  Matters grew worse as Utah welcomed back their starting center Derrick Favors to action.  With Favors back in the lineup for the Jazz really opens the floor and creates opportunities for the whole team, including veteran forward Richard Jefferson.  Celtics’ Kris Humphries fell victim to a blast from the past vicious dunk from Jefferson as he turned back the clock and took it straight to the bucket after getting his own rebound.  This one is nasty.  Check it out! Boston Celtics struggling mightily since All-Star break

Boston Celtics struggling mightily since All-Star breakThe second half of the season began for most teams last week. The Boston Celtics have had three games since the All-Star break and have struggled mightily out of the gate. Not to say that this is a terrible thing at all; it actually benefits the franchise in the future. I will go through the Celtics past three games, nonetheless...

What happened to the Celtics defense?

Utah led Boston by just five points despite shooting 60 percent from the field and 66.7 percent on 3s. The Jazz have ranked among the NBA's bottom five in just about every statistical category on offense. In the game, Boston allowed the Jazz to shoot 55 percent from the field. Just not a number you can live with if your Brad Stevens, especially against the poor shooting Jazz...

Rajon Rondo Skips Game to Party in L.A.

If you have been reading my Celtic’s blogs over the past season you will know I am one of the biggest Rondo supporters out there, but this really irritates me. Now I know Rondo was most likely not going to play as he does not usually play in back to back games. But Rondo was just named captain of this team and has expressed how he wants to be the face of this franchise. Well Rajon...

The Celtics are in rebuilding mode. Rajon Rondo is returning from a torn ACL last season but he’s clearly not about that rebuild life. Over the weekend, Rondo opted not to accompany the team to Sacramento where they faced off against the Kings on Saturday. Instead the guard stayed in LA to celebrate his birthday. The Celtics captain turned 28 on Saturday but didn’t receive “official...

Derrick Favors Imposes Will; Impressions From Celtics’ Loss To Jazz

All anybody really needs to know about the game was this: It was delayed 20 minutes before tip-off after an errant shot in warm-ups jarred loose a camera perched five feet above the backboard. It was later delayed several minutes to retrieve a missed runner by Jerryd Bayless that got stuck on top of the same backboard. Everything in between went about the same. Kelly Olynyk scored...
