This has to be the longest week ever, literally. It is finals week for me and I don’t have much to do other than study for an exam I’m sure I will pass. And with UK coming off a loss and no game until Saturday, I’m sure I will remain just as bored through the rest of the week.

One person who is not bored at all is Chuck Hayes, as he reached out to the Sacramento media this week after he recently signed with the Kings. Hayes, now in his home state of California, had some things to say on how he will make a difference in the Kings’ lineup and what he brings to the table. “I’ve got legs of a defensive lineman, but I can move them pretty quick like a guard. I just try to use it to my advantage. I figure most 7 footers, big guys, if you make them take more than one or two dribbles than it’s to your advantage. You don’t see too many 7 footers with a mean crossover or the handle of a point guard. So if I root them out away from the basket and make them take dribbles, more than two dribbles, I feel like I have the advantage and on the second dribble I’m going to attack his dribble.”

On CBS Sports, writers Jeff Goodman, Gary Parrish, Matt Norlando, and Jeff Borzello each created their own “dream team” so far for the 2011-12 season. Each team must have at least four players from non-BCS conferences and can not have more than one player from each team, and each team also has reserve players. Two of the teams had Michael Kidd-Gilchrist in their starting lineup, and one had Anthony Davis. It certainly tells you how these young players have made themselves known so quick this year. Feel free to check out the teams here.

Also, if you have time today on your way home from work, feel free to check out our own Paul Jordan on the radio today. He will be on with our friend Ken Howlett from A Sea of Blue, along with Norm Haney and Seth Burchett for Wildcat Wednesday on 1340 WBGN in Bowling Green.
