Nobody seems to know what the Dallas reporter said to Delonte West that triggered the former Cavalier’s twitter rant of last Saturday, and nobody knows what former Plain Dealer Cavs beat writer Brian Windhorst did to draw West’s specific ire therein
Not one of the tweets at issue, but still a good one.
Larry Brown Sports has the details here, including a response from Windhorst, who said that he “always felt [he] treated Delonte with dignity & respect, [n]ever, ever wrote rumors, usually protected him.” We don’t remember anything printed in the PD to the contrary, so maybe Delonte isn’t talking about anything specific.
On Saturday, Delonte expressed his frustration with how he “went from starting for a 60+ [win] team, supposed to make 5-8 mill a year, to a desperado [mf'er] making [the league minimum],” before he went specifically at Windhorst:
“Eating chicken and riding motorcycles … hope u sleep well tonight … now go write about that Brian Weinhorst … after u wrote all

DALLAS -- In a little more than two weeks, Delonte West has shown the Dallas Mavericks that he has the skill and knowledge to run their offense.
At first glance, it looks like these two jokers kicking back with beers simply had seats at the end of the Dallas bench, but it soon becomes obvious they're actually seated between Delonte West and Vince Carter. It's tough to tell whether the best part of this is the video itself, complete with that terrific shot panning the Mavs bench until...
There was an amazing sight in Detroit last night, with two bearded fans sipped on their beers while seated between Vince Carter and Delonte West during the Mavericks/Pistons game.
Larry Brown Sports reports on who these two jokers are: “It turns out the fans in question are Aaron Cohen, a fashion designer who runs a clothing company called Revive, and a guy who goes by Chris...
I don't know how these guys did it, or how they lasted so long, but these two guys in Detroit managed to park themselves between Delonte West and Vince Carter on the Dallas Mavericks' bench.
You know, considering the Palace's history with fans and players, you'd think there'd be slightly better security separating them from the bench.
It's a hilarious...
On Tuesday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills, the Detroit Pistons and Dallas Mavericks played a lopsided basketball game while two drunkin’ gentlemen were sitting right between the Mavericks Delonte West and Vince Carter drinking beer. V.I.P seats if you ask me.
It’s too bad they were at the Pistons game with one hundred other fans watching a bad basketball team stink it...
As our man Aron posted Wednesday, two bros just happened to be sitting in between Vince Carter and Delonte West on the Dallas Mavericks bench on Tuesday night. Who were these mystery men? Mark Cuban’s hipster buddies? After doing some investigative journalism, Dime found out that these two are Detroit Pistons season ticket holders Chris [...]
Oh, you were serious? Really? Lakers, Thunder, Hawks and Bulls have played 12 games, while the Clippers have only played eight, over an 18-day span.
And we’re supposed to have an idea of what’s going on?
Kobe Bryant is leading the league in scoring, at 30.3 per game. He hasn’t scored at that clip (or led the league) since 2006-07, when he averaged 31.6. Only four players...
