Washington Post:
Rashard Lewis was none too pleased last month with the performance the Wizards gave in his first game at Amway Center since the Orlando Magic traded him for Gilbert Arenas. Lewis criticized his teammates for “going through the motions” during an embarrassing loss in which the Wizards had to score the final 10 points of the game to lose by a more respectable 18-point deficit.

Wizards’ Trevor Booker gets another chance with Andray Blatche down
Trevor Booker received some disappointing news when he arrived at practice on Tuesday and realized that a left-handed jump hook that he was credited with making during the Wizards’ 102-99 victory last Saturday over Charlotte actually belonged to Kevin Seraphin. The NBA corrected the mistake, so, instead of scoring 16 points on 6 for 6 shooting, he actually had 14 points on 5 for...

Wittman Compares Wiz To Cigarette Smokers
You've probably heard this one before, but the Washington Wizards are a mess. They played so poorly that they got one coach fired and now their new coach is making comparisons about them and they aren't exactly the most flattering. The New York Times' Jake Appleman spent some time with the Wizards and new coach Randy Wittman, who wasn't incredibly optimistic about...
Wizards Update: More of the Same
Interim Head Coach Randy Wittman has, at the very least, made the Wizards a more competitive team; or was that the injury to Andray Blatche that has him out 3-5 weeks?
Since Flip Saunders dismissal four games ago the Wizards are .500 (2-2). Since Blatche’s injury, younger, and hungrier players are in the lineup and making an impact. Jan Vesely has had interesting stat lines...
What's Wrong With John Wall?
The million dollar question in the DMV is ‘What’s wrong with John Wall?’.
The Wizards traveled to Orlando to face off against the struggling Magic. It was another loss but the Wizards are playing much better as a team and sooner or later they will start to win some of these competitive matchups. Finding the silver lining in the dark cloud that has been the 1st quarter...
Win Over Wizards An Imperfect Cure
A win over the Washington Wizards is not going to impress anyone. Sorry. It just is not. This is still, despite a much more inspired level of play under new head coach Randy Wittman, one of the bottom feeders in the league.
Considering though where Orlando has been, and where it still wants to go, any win with a strong offensive outpouring, with a decent defensive effort, with ball...
Wizards’ Nick Young shrugs off poor start with late flurry
Nick Young used to be a player who would miss his first few shots, then sulk through the rest of the game. If he started cold, he stayed cold and could never move on.
But he has matured plenty since becoming a regular starter and has routinely used sluggish starts as a challenge to have heroic finishes. His latest example was on Wednesday in Orlando, where Young spent most of the...
Fantasy Basketball - Week 6 Buy or Sell
Buy:JaVale McGee, C, Wizards: The leader of the Block Party has been on a swat tear of late, averaging 3.4 blocks over his last 7 games, and 3.2 for the season. With career high in rebounds (9.3) and a fantastic FG% (0.523), McGee is hugely undervalued as a fantasy player, and can win the blocks category for you practically on his own.Mike Conley, PG, Grizzlies: With 7.3 assists...
Trevor Booker looks to provide offensive spark for Wizards
ORLANDO, Fla. — Wizards forward Trevor Booker has never minded the moniker "junkyard dog." It's a common nickname for a tough, defensive-minded, high-energy player. It's something Booker takes pride in. With injuries to Ronny Turiaf and Andray Blatche, Booker knows he'll have an expanded role for Washington and will need ...

Ernie Grunfeld plans to stay the course with the Wizards’ rebuilding efforts and has been encouraged by what he has seen since the team replaced Flip Saunders with Randy Wittman last week.

Rose, Bulls Dominate Wizards
“We fought hard till the end,” said Nick Young after the Wizards loss to the Chicago Bulls.
The Wizards knew they were going against a great team in Chicago and one of the premiere defensive teams in the NBA.
Considering the state of rebuild the Wizards are currently in, there won’t be many wins. But in the case of a loss, they should always go down swinging.
A great example...
