If you’ve read this blog at all in the past then you know how I feel about this current Wizards team. For the past few years they’ve been one of the dumbest, most mistake prone teams the NBA has ever seen. Having said that, the deal the team made yesterday at the trade dealine left me more confused than hopeful.
The trade is as follows:
The Wizards traded our young, incredibly raw starting center JaVale McGee and Ronny Turiaf to the Denver Nuggets for their veteran center Nene.
Along with that the Wizards shipped starting shooting guard Nick Young off to the Los Angeles Clippers for forward Brian Cook and a 2nd round pick in 2015.
As I’ve said time and time again, the Wiz needed to get smarter. They needed actual professionals surrounding John Wall in order for the franchise to move forward. So, considering both Young and McGee were slated to be free agents this coming summer (unrestricted and restricted respectively) the Wizards front office was wise to move them when they coul...

News of NBA deals flew in at a frantic pace at the trade deadline this year… The Los Angeles Clippers have acquired Nick Young from the Washington Wizards as part of a three-team trade. To complete the trade, the Wizards are receiving Nene Hilario from Denver and Brian Cook and a 2nd round pick from [...]
TRADE-SANITY!!! I had a little birdie tell me Wednesday night, Nene was going to be traded, but I never thought it would be to the Washington Wizards. Furthermore, it was in exchange for JaVale McGee, Ronnie Turiaf to Denver and it sent Nick Young to the Clippers. While, I was taken aback at first, this [...]
The Washington Wizards have been the laughing stock of the league for the last couple of seasons. Maturity and team ball were two of the biggest problem areas for the team over the course of their struggles. Thursday, the Wizards took a great leap forward by shipping JaVale McGee off to Denver in exchange for Nene. Sure, they had to give up one of their top scorers in Nick Young...
After just signing Nene to a five-year-$67 million contract extension in December, the Denver Nuggets have agreed to trade him to the Washington Wizards. In a three-team trade that netted the Nuggets big man, JaVale McGee and Ronny Turiaf. The Clippers were the third team and only involved because they were a team guard Nick Young, whose from LA, would forgo his “Bird [...]
The Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Clippers have completed a three-team trade. The Wizards will acquire Nene, the Nuggets will acquire JaVale McGee and the Clippers will acquire Nick Young in a swap I never saw coming.
It’s apparent that the Nuggets haven’t been happy with Nene’s production after giving him the big deal during the off-season. JaVale McGee...
WAIT, WHAT?? Apparently JaVale thinks he is the bee’s knees, but this really did happen: In addition to his on-court struggles, it appears that Wizards center JaVale McGee is a bit delusional. Sources say he has informed the Wizards that he will be looking for a contract averaging around $14 million when he becomes a [...]

The Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers, and Denver Nuggets finalized a three-team deal to complete the final day of NBA trading today as the Wizards acquired Nene Hilario. Along with that, Washington receives Brian Cook and a second-round pick from LA. The Nuggets will get Javale McGee and Ronny Turiaf while the Clips get Nick Young. This trade comes as surprise, since the Nuggets...
Clippers management asked Nick Young whether he knew the way to Staples Center, but of course he did.
He could drive it from memory. And as the Los Angeles native, who starred at Reseda Cleveland High and then at USC, weaved along the freeways of his youth Saturday, he did so slowly, and not just because of rain or traffic.
"I was just trying to take this all in, as I was...
John Wall had 26 points and 12 assists, and the Washington Wizards won hours after making a multiplayer deal at the NBA trade deadline, 99-89 over the New Orleans Hornets on Thursday night.
Roger Mason scored 17 of his season-high 19 points in the second half to help the Wizards snap a three-game skid and win for only the 10th time this season.
Chris Kaman scored 20 points for...
Former Denver Nuggets center, Nene, has been traded to the Washington Wizards in a three team deal with the Nuggets, Wizards and Clippers. The Nuggets, who signed Nene to a 5 year, $67 million contract last December, have sent him away for centers JaVale McGee and Rony Turiaf. The Clippers agreed to send Brian Cook and a second round pick to the Wizards in exchange for shooting...
Center Nene will not be available when the Washington Wizards face the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
Nene was acquired from the Denver Nuggets on Thursday in a three-way trade involving the Los Angeles Clippers.
The veteran center, who has appeared in only 28 games this season, still must pass a physical.
The 29-year-old Nene, who signed a five-year contract in the offseason, was averaging...
