It's a good question from the All-Star Forward Zach Randolph. Why aren't his Memphis Grizzlies playing on Christmas Day? I'm not necessarily saying there is anything wrong with Boston, New York, Miami, Dallas, Chicago and LA all being featured in the December 25th triple-header to open this NBA season, but I really can't wait to see what Z-Bo and his Grizzlies squad can do this season either. Randolph thinks they can pick up right where they left off last year, and count me as a guy who believes him. I know jumping on the Grizzlies bandwagon might be viewed as somewhat fashionable or trendy, and I also realize they were only an eighth seed last season who won technically only one playoff series against an aging San Antonio Spurs team, but if they sold Memphis Grizzlies stock right now I would buy as much of it as I could afford. Which isn't a lot, but that isn't the point. The point is, for as many missteps as he's taken off the court througho...

Zach Randolph And I Would Suggest The Grizzlies For Christmas

The NBA’s 2011/12 season will tip off with a triple-header on December 25th, and I think all of us NBA fans are in agreement that that makes this the most anticipated Christmas since our childhood years.  You could probably guess the six teams involved in the triple-header in about the same number of guesses; they’re all the usual suspects.  Boston and New York will...

Rudy Gay is ready to continue rolling for the Memphis Grizzlies in 2011-12

25-year old Rudy Gay has really turned into one of the best small forwards in the NBA and the Grizzlies need him to keep up the good work in 2011-12.  Gay played in 54 games (all starts) for the Grizzlies last year and he averaged 39.9 minutes, 19.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.1 blocked shots per game.  He has now played in 372 games (336 starts) in his...

Grizzlies ready to bear arms, move up

The last time the Memphis Grizzlies were on the floor was May 15, 2011. It was Game Seven of the Western Conference Semifinals at the Ford Center in Oklahoma City, Okla., a day that didn't end well, as the Thunder brought the Grizzlies' inspired playoff run to an end with a 105-90 victory. That dark day would lead into darker ones, as the 149-day lockout followed, delaying...

Grizzlies Expected To Match Any Offer To Marc Gasol

Marc Gasol is a restricted free agent this offseason and is one of its most coveted commodities.

Grizzlies hope to re-sign Marc Gasol

Memphis has already committed lucrative deals to Rudy Gay, Mike Conley and Zach Randolph. Locking up Gasol, entering his fourth season, is considered the final move toward solidifying the team’s nucleus. But there doesn’t seem to be any reason to fret about Gasol’s signing. The Grizzlies can sign Gasol to a longer contract and pay him more [...]

Tentative deal ends NBA lockout; Memphis Grizzlies focusing on Gasol

The Grizzlies now have a month to work through a training camp, free-agent period and the process of schmoozing fans before the season officially begins.
