New Jersey Nets Do Not Extend Damion James, Brook Lopez
Wednesday’s deadline to re-sign 2008 NBA Draft picks has come and past and the New Jersey Nets did not offer extensions to forward Damion James and injured center Brook Lopez.
Damion James is currently injured for the rest of the season and has on-going problems with his surgically repaired foot. He will probably not be back next season with the Nets.

New Jersey Nets forward Damion James underwent successful surgery today, January 24, to repair aggravation to a previous fracture in his fifth metatarsal, on which he had surgery on December 13, 2010, Nets General Manager Billy King announced.

Nets F James has surgery on foot, out for season
New Jersey Nets forward Damion James will miss the remainder of the season with a foot injury, general manager Billy King announced on Tuesday.
James underwent surgery earlier on Tuesday in Indianapolis to replace a screw in his right foot.
He aggravated the initial injury in a game earlier this season.
James averaged 4.9 points and 4.7 rebounds in seven games this campaign.
